El Gallineral Natural Park

It was an incredible experience. The park is beautiful, they do charge though, all the information we found about it didn’t say anything about it, but it is not expensive, only $7.000 pesos. Animals are hard to find, but you will still enjoy it!!!!

Beautiful botanical garden nested on an island in the river. There are a few trails to walk by the river among tropical trees and plants. Also has a nice swimming pool.

There could be more signs though for education about the plants.

This is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever been to. There are so many things I liked and found very interesting, including the beautiful flowers, the fascinating variety of trees that adorn the entire place, the running river that fills the place with the sounds of splashing water and the 2 little ponds that fit in perfectly in the whole scenery. I would most definitely recommend a visit there.

Great place to walk around and take pictures. Right downtown. Free if you are 60+, otherwise less than $2 each. A great activity for an hour or two.

This park is really nice, a bit hidden from the busy city you can find a decent peace of nature there. Stunning trees and multiple animals such as turtles or squirrels and parrots hummingbirds (if you are patient). Overall the visit will take you up to 30mn max. Worth considering if you have a bit to spend before catching a bus.

It's a great place to know more about the nature, feed some squirrels (for 1 thousand COP), and know about the Guanes the ancient population of San Gil.

I loved it, the place is magical, it is a place to breath and relax, to hear the nature, there is a swimming pool too, it cost 6000 COP the ticket and 10000 COP if you wanna go to the swimming pool.

A beautiful, well-kept jewell in the midst of the city. I loved the beautiful flowers, but I saw no iguanas.

This natural park offers a tropical forest experience in the middle of the road to Barichara. Also features a restaurant offering local "Santanderina" food which by the way was delicious.

This is a great natural park along the banks of a river and creek.

It gets you away from the hustle and bustle of San Gil. They used to hype the tillandsia moss but honestly nowadays you see more along the highway (between Barbosa and Oiba) or in other towns (like Villa de Leiva) than you do in the park. But it's still a nice park.], for about an hour.

Great park full of beautiful nature. Very worthwhile and only 6,000 pesos for the nature part without the swimming pool. I loved watching the turtles, and spotted a chigüiro which was awesome.
