Nemocón Salt Mine

Great place to visit and learn about the history of the salt mines and Nemocón. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. I loved how he took his time and was full of good information.

Interesting experience related to exploring a real salt mine. The guided tour is very unique. Also, you can observe the location of a movie set.

Very nice place to visit. I enjoyed the grounds around the area and the view of town just as much as the salt mine.

The mine itself is very interesting and visually stunning. The manicured grounds surrounding the mine are the real star of the show. The staff and guides are very professional and answer every question.

Great visit and super tour guide giving insight of history of mining also of the film 33 made there.

Amazing and spectacular, there is also a salt spa inside. All kind handcrafted figures in salt, you can even have coffee and eat or buy Colombian emerald.

A fantastic experience, even if you're not religious. The first part of the visit is the religious part which is a beautiful cathedral. The second part is comercial, there are a lot of things inside the mine including snacks, souvenirs, and other activities.

Fantastic place! Interesting fact the film the movie “Los 33” “ The 33” based on what happen to the miners in Chile and their rescue. This place wax the back drop of the movie. An amazing experience and great energy.
We had a hot beverage while we waited. We just showed up and got on the next available tour.

Very special place. We arrived early in the morning so it was not crowded. When we came out of the cave it was very crowded. The visit is around 1.5 hours.

Like they say, it is the wonder of this nation in it’s beauty and it’s dimension. Must see place in Bogota.

Great place to visit, also with great stories about the miners that was stuck for 69 days and managed to survive during the mine collapse. And there is allot to see in there. And outside there is a merchandise that you can buy stones which where found in that same mine.

Amazing mine and great guide... The mine is really big and has some amazing things to see inside... And the guide explains everything in detail. And plus its way cheaper than salt cathedral which is definitely a tourist trap

Absolutely incredible experience. The Salt Mines are unforgettable, and the town of Zipaquira is a hidden gym. If you can only take one tour during your time in Colombia, you won’t regret visiting the Zipaquira Salt Mines!

It is an interesting place to visit. They have some archeological discoveries such as bones, pottery, etc. That makes us think how were the animals and tribes that lived in the northern savannah and the evolution of this habitat.
The mine offers different spots to capture and appreciate.

There is bus that goes there from portal del norte, it's 3 mil pesos (1usd) 20 minutes walk to get there, the entrance fee was 30 mil pesos (10 usd) it takes an hour to visit the place, it becomes a religious place but it's interesting somehow.

You need to go here. Is a hall day trip but is excellent place, real family trip, nice pictures, nice people. Don't feel back to stop the driver and take pictures. Uber cost 120 k pesos and driver can wait for you and another 120k to drive back.

This place blew my mind, I dont understand why this mines are not so popular, it would be full of Europeans and Americans, it is really unbelievable. No wonder they call it the 8th wonder of the world, I had an awesome time with my family, very clean and organized , and stopping to watch the 3d movie was so nice, highly recommended
