El Dorado International Airport

If you know a little Spanish and have all of your travel documents, you are prepared for a seamless process through immigration. Next up? Customs is a breeze if you have nothing to declare.

The immigration check experience at the departure was excellent. Ages ahead of all the other airports. There are several self service counters where you scan your passport and get biometrics done by the cameras and you are done. It was the most efficient immigration check experience. Other airports should also use this technology.

The number of seats at the gates in the waiting area are very limited. Most people don’t get to sit. Other than that, it’s a great airport with several lounge options and plenty of shopping options.

It was tiresome .. I had come from a ten hour flight from Amsterdam.. I had to wait five hours there.. for my flight to Lima.. the good thing it was a small airport.. and it had plenty of stores even at the boarding area ..

Great place. A lot of restaurants and stores throughout. Easily check your flight on numerous monitors. Security and Customs was extremely quick with no B.S. like at LAX. Flight was on time and the boarding process was simple and easy. Blows my mind how airports in the U.S. are so disorganized yet all these other countries make it so easy.

Good airport, clean, biometric authentication is great, no queues

Pass through immigration was a fast. Very easy to navigate, very clean. Very good restaurant choices.

Modern and efficient, a little crowded but well organized , so many stores and restaurants, etc that it’s just like a mall

This is a big airport, you have both national and international flights. The check-in lines could be pretty long at least at Avianca and same with the security line, so get there early and be prepared for the wait. Once you pass security, you will find many stores, some are brand name stores, other stores to buy souvenirs, etc. There is a Dunkin Donuts and others places to order a drink or food from. Overall its just like any other airport, may be bigger than some, so your gate might be close or very far away from security.

Beautiful airport with many options to eat, drink and shop. Well organized and friendly staff.

This airport is great to have to stay in overnight. We had to stay from 11pm to 7am. Stores open early stay open late. They have rooms for you to sleep in but I chose the free option of the recliner seat. We shopped the duty free and they have a really nice coffee shop by the gate.
What I didn’t like, and it’s not their fault, was the extra bag check before boarding the flight to US. We had to unexpectedly dump the beverages we bought at the airport. Our airline charged for even water.

This would be my second time passing through Bogota Colombia. Nice Airport

A true international airport - BOG has everything you’d expect.
Large spacious seating area, in-gate entertainment & food spots, Air Conditioning & ample toilets/banos.
The layout of the local connections can be a little confusing as the Exit of the Airport is right beside the Domestic Connections but as long as you’re paying attention, you should be fine.

Modern & spacious, organized, clean, charging stations, abundant seating, clear signage. Also the water bottle fillers! Airport staff is friendly and helpful. I appreciate that the airport is constantly working on improvements to the spaces and shops. My only suggestion would be better food options in the international terminal. The food court in Avianca’s domestic terminal features a lot of great local restaurant groups and is 100x better than anything in the international terminal.

Very nice airport, clean and reasonable prices. Quick security control, not much hassle.

The thing we liked the most are the horizontal waiting chairs that we saw where board gates A are. Very comfy for a quick (or long) nap if you have to wait between flights!

It's a small airport, but it has everything you need. It looks safe and clean. It's located about 35-40 minutes away from the public transportation terminal. You can take a bus that will take you to the terminal for only 11,000 COP. But, you also can find UBER and Taxis.

Really nice now with all the changes.

Well known as one of the best airports in Latin America, the architecture is great, you can find a lot of places inside such as restaurants, coffee shops, duty free, among other stores.

A very clean and well run airport. I love it dearly. El Dorado is easily the best large international airport in all of the Americas. When arriving at Immigration, the line may be long, but the Immigration staff and officers move the people through quickly.

Very nice airport. Lots of stores and restaurants with traditional good food. You will also find small rooms to sleep and the charge is $10.65 per hour, very comfortable.

Clean and organized, just like any other place, it can improve on some things. But overall it's a very good airport for nationals and internationals alike.
