I am writing to give a shout out to Sergio of KAU - he gets an A ++ for customer service. Really, his service was phenomenal. My bag was taken accidentally by a tour agency while I was having lunch at KAU and this was only realized 1 hour before I had to catch my flight. Sergio was diligent in his efforts to help me get my bag before my flight, making numerous calls to the tour agency and even accompanying me to the airport. In the end he got me my bag and I made my flight! Outstanding customer service! Thanks again, Sergio!

Reviewing the cafe on ground floor - good service and friendly staff. We both had beef burgers and they were good. We didn’t wait long and the cafe was cosy with good views of the wind swept foreshore!

Came to the cafe here to kill time before catching a bus to the Torres park entrance. The cafe dining room had lodge vibes & felt very cozy with great views on the water with the mountains. There's a store in the lobby as well that I was able to pick up some last minute shopping for my hiking trip. The Kau Bowl was perfect light lunch.

My boyfriend and I arrived here after flying from Boston, USA and driving from Puerto Arenas. We were exhausted, starving, hadn’t had wifi in days. We are so grateful that this cafe is the place we stumbled upon. The staff were extremely accommodating, warm, and helpful. The sandwiches, espressos, and fresh passion fruit juice resurrected us. The Wi-Fi was fast and allowed us to sort out logistics and connect with family. The view of the ocean was the cherry on top. We are planning to come back tomorrow morning for breakfast!

Coming to this warm and inviting Cafe was our go to place for brunch and coffee. The staff were friendly and the food, outstanding. This is a must visit Cafe during your stay in Torres Del Paine, Patagonia, CHILE.

Super friendly staff welcomed us and allowed us into the room before the official check in time.
Rooms are small but large enough for 2 people and luggage, with enough space left over to pack/ unpack. Room was hot but cooled down once the heater was turned off (think the staff default to putting the heater on so do check). Great views over the water although you are by a main road through PN so was a bit noisy at times.
They allowed us to leave large suitcases for 8 days whilst we went walking and even provided a massive breakfast (doubled as lunch!) as we left early for our walk.
On our return we stayed again. The lodge restaurant was great and breakfast was lovely (and good coffee!)
Would recommend staying here

I took a late brunch at this spot and the waiter was incredibly helpful. My phone has died so he opened the menu on his phone, made recommendations of what to take and the quality of the coffee and produce was superb. Not to mention the location, definitely a great spot for anytime of day to enjoy the food and view!
Thank you for a lovely experience.

We stayed 1 night at Kau lodge as we transitioned from Patagonia to Chiloé during our travels.

We arrived on a rainy Wednesday evening, and to our surprise their cafe is closed weekly on Wednesdays. Their location is not too far from the Plaza de Armas, which has many restaurants and shops near by, so we were in luck.

The staff is friendly and went out of their way to accomodate an early breakfast for us the next day. Our room was plenty of space for two, and we had an amazing view out to the gulf. Overall exactly what we needed to catch some rest before a full day of travel.

One downside for any light sleepers out there is rooms with a view could be a bit noisy from the Avenida Pedro Montt traffic, and there is some old pipe noises through the walls that vibrate the room.

We went to visit this coffee shop each time after an activity we have done in the area. Even the day we had to leave Puerto Natales we had to visit one last time to take it all in. We wished to stay here longer. The magic sitting on shore with a feel of being in a skiing chatelet with awesome coffee and super cakes. For us it was magic. I wish it would do this to anyone sitting in there watching the weather change outside

The room I stayed was small, but it was nicely decorated and cozy with a great view of Última Esperanza Sound (I believe all the rooms have the same water view.) The cafe/restaurant downstairs served great food and coffee. Everyone at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay at Kau Lodge. Our view from the bedroom was top notch! The room was spacious and the bed was cozy. The bathrooms, however, are a bit small. The room was quiet but it was probably because of the wind blowing against the windows, drowning all other noises out. 😊 The cafe downstairs was a great place to spend a relaxing evening by the fireplace with beer or wine.

Sitting a sipping a cappuccino with a view of the bay and mountains is worth the visit alone. But then try the "brunch" or a lunch sandwich. They do an incredible job here.

Great little place to stay at. We enjoyed our stay at Kay Lodge for 4 nights. It's very well decorated, the staff is very friendly and helpful, free breakfast with a great view every morning, and a very reasonable price for the Patagonia area. It's not a luxury hotel, but can't get much better for the price and prime location right on the water.

We stayed here after completing the W trek in Torres Del Paine and this place was a sight for my sore feet. Nice rooms, friendly service, and deeply satisfying morning views looking out the front windows of the cafe. My only regret was that I didn't stay for more than a night.

The best coffee we have tasted came from our trip to South America came from the cafe here, excellant cakes also. Reasonable prices, we were late back from our day out so arrived on closing the lady stayed open for us. Also remembered us from previous visit the day before. We didn' t stay in the hotel so can not comment on this.

Beyond impressed with the owner of this place! He went out of his way to help us buy a bus ticket from Puentas Arenas to Natales despite not knowing us or anything about us. Our hotel Manager in Santiago knew him personally, called him to ask the favor as the bus booking online was down. He fronted the money and left our tickets at his lodge. What amazing service and kindness. We were so impressed! The lodge is also great and we spent the morning there.
