Tierra Patagonia Hotel & Spa

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The hotel was beautiful. Rooms were clean. We really appreciated the care the staff put into our stay. For example, upon arrival, we received a welcome bag of snacks. After each hike we were treated to boxes of fruits, charcuterie and drinks. The service overall was amazing. They really made sure our stay was memorable. Special mention to Nicholas the hotel manager and Ignacio our excursion guide!

An amazing and beautiful landscape. Perfectly shown from the windows of our room. Without doubt, the most magnificent modern architecture I've stayed in. The staff, without exception, were attentive, kind, helpful, but non intrusive. The food and wine are lovely. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends without a moments hesitation. I would certainly stay here again if I'm ever lucky enough to go to Patagonia again

I can not say enough about this hotel. The hotel manager, Nicholas, greeted us upon arrival. He gave us a personal tour of the hotel and checked in with us every day, morning and night. He recalled all of the details (such as my sore knee), and for our anniversary provided us with many thoughtful surprises, including a bottle of my favorite wine in our room.

Kineret arranges all of your excursions. She is like sunshine, always with a smile and there to advise.

Our tour guide was Nacho. He has been with Tierra for 17 years and truly made our vacation everything it could have been and more. Many of the employees have been here for a long time which is a testament to the quality of the ownership. All staff members that we encountered were professional and kind.

The spa was great. We had amazing massages!

The food was terrific. There was a daily menu that was unique and caters to people wanting fine dining. There was also an every day menu for the pickier eaters. They are also very flexible if you want something especially made for you. The breakfast buffet is extensive. Lunch was usually eaten during the hike. They pack lunches that you request and provide many snacks as well. They are always adding that special touch with fruit and cheese platters and amazing desserts as well as beverages when the hike is completed.

Regarding Patagonia, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you come prepared with appropriate hiking gear including jackets and pants that are water and wind resistant as well as high top hiking boots and gators. The weather here can be extreme, even during the high season. Winds can gust upwards of 50mph and heavy rains can pop up with no notice. If you are dressed properly, it won't bother you at all.

Lastly, the view from the hotel was breathtaking. All rooms face the same direction so there are no bad rooms.

Had the most wonderful time. The hotel is wonderful, but best of all is the kind-hearted staff. From reception to tour guides, kitchen staff to housekeeping, everyone took wonderful care of us. Highly recommend this most incredible hotel. I’ve been many places, but Tierra Patagonia was top-notch!

We cannot say enough good about the hotel, location and staff, The food is amazing which adds to how magical the location and environment are. It is well worth the cost. Just do it!

As world travelers, my wife and I have stayed at properties in over 60 countries. Tierra Patagonia is one of the top 3 places we have ever stayed. The manager, Nicholas, is on top of everything, ensuring an amazing experience for his guests. The staff is obviously very well trained and loves what they do. It's no wonder Tierra Patagonia won the best property in all South America. The architecture blends into the surroundings so well, as not to disturb the vast openness of Patagonia. There is a family of gray foxes living under the dining patio and are often seen throughout the day playing together. The spa is intimate and excellent. There is an indoor heated pool, perfect for relaxing after a long day's hike. The spa manager provides daily yoga classes for free and is passionately enthusiastic about helping guests loosen up the body in preparation for daily activities. Speaking of activities, the best way to describe Tierra Patagonia's approach is something straight out of Africa. Think morning, afternoon, or all-day game drives where options are endless. For a taste there are boat journeys, full-day hikes, mountain climbing, fishing, horseback riding, half-day hikes, nature walks, animal sightings, photography adventures, and so much more. The location is stunning, right on the largest lake in the region with a perfect view from any room in the hotel. We loved lying in bed looking out the large window at the breathtaking Torres del Paine "Massive" mountains, including the "horns" and "towers". The resort is zenly quiet, even with the howling winds. Part of the completely relaxing feeling is how everything is all-inclusive. Order up the drink of the day, or the smoothie of the day (Lemonade-Mint-Ginger was our favorite), without worrying about the costs. Hungry from your day of hiking, order anything off the menu. (Insider Tip: There's an alternative menu for those who want a taste from home. But please try the chef's creations as they are all exquisite.) There's even a fun trail mix stand, that everyone frequents and stocks up on, before heading out for the day. Guides are absolute experts in their areas and bend over backwards to ensure you have the best time. Without giving away the secret, there is something special to look forward to after each activity. Rest assured, this is a luxury experience, and no detail is overlooked. Here's the most surprising thing about our stay at Tierra Patagonia. We had just come from Antartica and thought for sure anything on the rest of our trip would not live up to the excitement of Antartica. Tierra EXCEEDED our expectations and became the highlight of our trip! NOTE: We had changed our reservations from the Expora hotel and are so glad we did. We did stay at the Expora lodge in Rapa Nui (Easter Island) on this trip and it was more than a few steps down from Tierra. You will not regret staying here.

We had an amazing time and highly recommend Tierra Patagonia to anyone considering a trip to Torres del Paine! My wife and I actually started our trip in Argentina, and Tierra arranged a pick-up from El Calafate which is about a six-hour drive and brought us to the property (thank you!). The staff was wonderful and very attentive throughout the stay. The food was delicious and there are multiple options on the menu to satisfy those who prefer meat, vegan, gluten-free, etc. As soon as we arrived, the staff helped us pick excursions based on our fitness and interests and we had an amazing experience with hikes and horseback riding. The one "blemish" (for lack of a better word) during the trip was our experience with one of the guides. We had this guide twice - once for a short hike and again for a day hike - and he seemed more interested in talking about himself than things related to our actual hike - landscape, flora, fauna, etc. On our longer hike, he rushed our group even as some of us were having difficulty coming down a steep hill. We mentioned this to the manager who hopefully addressed this and we requested not to be with this guide for other excursions. Overall, this really is an amazing property with incredible views, staff, guides (with our one exception), spa + facilities! We had a fantastic experience!

Our experience at Tierra for our honeymoon was AMAZING. The hotel is clearly built to emphasize the beauty of Patagonia, and the staff was passionate about the natural landscapes and sharing that with guests. We were there for 6 nights (and could have stayed for more) and ended up doing the French Valley, Grey Glacier, and Agostini Track, as well as a few short half-day hikes. Each was beautiful in a unique way and we would honestly recommend them all to get the mix of the mountain landscapes, the glacial terrain, and the forested and ranchero areas.

All of our guides from the hotel were amazing (Thomas, Andres, Luis, Diego), as was the staff at the restaurant and front desk. Nicholas, the manager, meeting us when we arrived and checking in throughout our stay just showed how active they are at ensuring a personalized experience for all their guests. Kineret and Basilio (who coordinate all of the excursions for guests) were so lovely and helpful as we shifted things around over the course of our stay as well.

And we can't forget to mention the spa (including the morning yoga classes!) and all the amazing spots to relax and read after big days of hiking. If you are thinking of going to Patagonia, you can't do better than this beautiful hotel!

What can I say? This is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed at. Yes, it’s expensive and a bit tedious to get to. But is worth it? 100%. From the minute they pick you up to getting dropped back off at the airport, it is the best service you will ever receive. The meals are delicious, the excursion guides are knowledgeable and friendly, and you can’t beat the view from the swimming pool. I hope to be back one day.

Something about the woman architect, this place curves and flows smoothly and really nice color tone and design throughout. It blend in well with the natural from outside. With big windows in the public area, you have amazing view of Torres Del Pine.
This place might be a long way outside of the park but it’s really worthy as they have a nice spa you can relax after the hike to rewind.
The service here is top notch l, the restaurant and bar employees remembers you and your preference and makes it so easy. Food is good and right amount that you won’t be stuffed. Only problem is that their dinner doesn’t start until 8pm, for me as early eater or people have young children might not be ideal.
Rooms are cozy all rooms have the view of the towers and the lake. Nice bathroom design flows well and the hotel is eco friendly they do not use plastic in the hotel.
The all in package includes their all meals, unlimited drinks and tours, the tour guides here are amazing, super friendly, each group are small: the itinerary are decided the night before because they are weather depend. The weather change dramatically so no need to plan ahead, but make sure adding extra days in case bad weather days so you still get to enjoy while the weather turns out nice.

Unique fully catered adventure lodge. Offering excellent food, beautiful hikes, horseback rides and wildlife photography with excellent guides.

The spa area needs to have hotter water especially the outdoor hottub, otherwise we loved everything. The excursion managers and guides made the trip very special for my wifes 50th birthday 5 days experience. Thank you!

Excellent hotel for all types of travelers: for those who are looking for some adventurous hikes and for those who are just looking for relaxing. We stayed 5 nights and completed the W circuit in 3 days, using the 2 days in between to recharge and relax using all the amazing amenities offered by the hotel: massages, sauna, pool and, of course, a nice and cozy meal.
For the full day hikes, the staff is well prepared and will help you to get through the day based on your fitness level. Basílio and Kineret were the best duo to set up our week of activities. Besides their professional knowledge, they were as kind as they were a family member to us.
We were lucky to have the same (and the best) guide on all of our hikes. Rodrigo was not only a guide, but a leader! He kept us motivated by explaining in details all about the fauna, flora and the formations of the terrain, and at the same time he was very kind and patient, respecting the different types of fitness of the group. On the 5th and last day with him, again we felt that we’ve known him since forever. The only downside of this trip was to leave this amazing place and get back to reality!

If you’re considering Tierra Patagonia- BOOK IT! It will be the best adventure of your life!! 5 stars is truly not enough to describe our experience here.

Torres del Paine is beyond one of the most magical places on Earth. It’s stunning and Tierra Patagonia’s modern, sleek and inspiring architecture equally matches it. The second we walked through the doors, we knew we were in a special place not to mention their breathtaking view of Paine Massif which can be seen from every window of the hotel including the indoor pool (which was awesome!).

Equally as amazing as the location is the Tierra Patagonia team! Before booking, George and the team answered all our questions with detail. We originally were booked a year ago but the pandemic had pushed our travels. George every step of the way kept us up to date on travel restrictions and ensured we had everything we needed to finally make the trip when Chile opened this month. I cannot stress enough how helpful and exceptional George is!

Once we arrived, we were greeted by the GM Nicholas who showed us the hotel and our room. He is very kind, caring and checked on us daily. Next we met with Basilio who helped plan our excursions. We booked 7 nights so we had plenty of time for adventures. We let Basilio know what we liked, a couple of our “musts” and he did the rest. He curated a fantastic itinerary and we left feeling we got to see a nice range of the park. His team of guides is the best! Nacho was our guide for majority of the trip. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun! He even had hot soup for us when we reached the base of the towers!

The food was incredible! It was local cuisine with an upscale flair. We were there for 8 days without any repeat meals. The dining room staff was fantastic and so nice. They always asked about our daily adventures and made sure we had enough to drink and eat. And let me tell you, you will never feeling hungry haha…

Almost daily after our excursions, we found ourselves relaxing in the glorious pool overlooking the property and Paine Massif. It was a great way to unwind at the end of the day. One evening I indulged in one of the best deep tissues massages by Carolina.

Every single person from the front desk (special shout out to Ruth), the dining/bar team to the wonderful guides genuinely cared. We have gone on some really epic adventures around the globe and our adventure at Tierra Patagonia easily takes the top spot. Everything was just perfect! I’m not going to lie, I teared a bit when we left. THANK YOU!!

Phenomenal stay!!! Upon arrival I was greeted so friendly by the manager and several members of the staff. They were so kind and already knew my name and a lot about me. They made me feel so special instantly!! The manager gave me a brief tour and I was shown to my room which was gorgeous, clean and so big!! The views from the room are amazing!! I joined in several excursions and they were all lead by excellent, friendly and knowledgeable guides. The spa and pool are also just the best!!! The food is delicious and everything seemed really fresh. I would highly highly recommend staying here!!

Here’s ANOTHER 5-Star review for Tierra Patagonia!! We’re sitting in the beautiful lounge taking in the amazing view one last time before we have to go back to Denver. Just go. It’s worth it. Trip of a lifetime. Fantastic rooms. 6-star service. Such a special place, we’ll just have to come back. Plus, we can’t wait to visit their other properties as well. Thank you Tierra Team!! Bravo!

The service and guides were amazing here. I highly recommend Patrick, Nico, and Francesca. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and the food here was great as well. The views from the rooms are spectacular and there are tons of activities and excursions that the hotel will set up for you and take you on. It was truly an amazing place, and I won't forget it for a long time. The pool and spa are also very good, especially after a long day of hiking and adventuring.

Tierra is truly an incredible, extremely unique experience. If you’re looking to balance feeling the wild isolation of Patagonia with the luxury of a resort with world class amenities this is your place.

Staff, quality of rooms, restaurant, view and location relative to the park are hard to beat across categories.

Nicholas the manager made sure we had everything we needed and went out of his way to greet us everyday during our stay. Top notch service.. fun guides and the most beautiful place at the end of the earth! Perfect combination for a perfect vacation!
