Saltos del Laja

Great waterfalls to view once you walk down an easy trail lined with vendors selling arts & crafts, snacks, and the like. The walkway used to take you much closer to the falls, but (as of October 2023) the last part of the structure is still damaged from last year's rains. Hopefully, it'll reopen soon.

Salto del Laja (salto = fall , Laja it's the river name) so it's a fall, not far from route 5, crowded, few restaurants and Bed and breakfast a lot of places to buy things that you don't need. The falls are magnificent, I loved this place and even wasn't my destination, I really enjoyed this stopover. Worth it. It's free and you can get closer to the falls as you want to.

Beautiful place. It does get crowed, but it is worth the visit. The river is a great place to go swimming.

Its a very nice place. Truly not the same today..not enough water besides they didnt do any work to improve or promote tourism. Is my country and still love it but the true is that.

So beautiful place! A lot of water is over the air because of the wind, so you’ll probably need some protection for your clothes. Also I recommend to wear shoes with good grip.

It is a beautiful place to go with your family or by your own. It is free!

Worth to visit. Amount of water obviously variates during the year. You can also swim which is big plus and water is not so cold. Place is most likely crowded. Go on morning if you can.

Neat fall even on a rainy, wintry day. I almost decided to not come because it was raining but I’m glad I did for the cheap bus ticket. Entry is office & admission free; it’s a public “park” so just walk on up. Although, I froze my hands off, and I wish the weather was in my favor because I’m sure it looks even more stunning on a good day.

Very good place on the ruta 5 to Santiago. A good stop to visit the waterfalls. A good restaurant as well with local beer.

Excellent views and fabulous service. Try the Venison or the Duck (Ciervo or Pato). Both are delicious. The duchess potatoes (Papa's Duchas) are also wonderful. The onion and cheese consume was great, as was the Flan for desert. Make sure to try out the beers from the local brewery. They were able to accommodate 18 people on a Saturday night.
