One of the best Persian stores in the west and north Vancouver. Very clean, high quality products, prices are lower than every other shop in the neighborhood contrary to public belief.

I just moved to West Van and I have heard about this mini market before, so I decided to give them a visit. Nice homemade deli Dips, great quality meat marinates and good prices on their cheeses. Oh,they roast their own pistachios and other nuts. Very fresh. Totally recommend this place.

I enjoy going to this store every time I go there to buy the specific things I like. They have special teas and items that others don't bring. And their vegetables are always fresh. 👌

This is a Deli, compared with Persia across the street - which has moths flying around and is bottom of the barrel in terms of quality, BUT Persia is dirt CHEAP. Mitra's isn't cheap like Persia, it's reasonably priced with loads of creative finds: high end gourmet from all over the world; gluten free and vegan; ethnic options and often seasonal items are brought in, like Bitter Plums I bought on a whim a month ago - a spring delicacy in Iran, I'm told. When I first started going here, I did have to ask for an itemized receipt, but after a few times, I'm now always given one. I love the selection and seasonal things that are brought in. I use the Hummus every time I entertain and eat it several times a month. This is a true neighbourhood GEM!

I like Mitra's. It has a limited selection because of its size, but I doesn't feel like it has a limited selection. Fresh produce, really good frozen food selection, fresh hummus... a great local grocer that works hard to stay great. imho

My family had been going to Mitra's market for over 20 years. Sam is fantastic and always has incredible produce, foods, and especially the hummus!!!

I feel so grateful to have Mitra’s close to us. During this crazy time it is the only place I shop. Sam is very friendly and helpful and he carries a lot of products. Fresh fruit , vegetables , meats. No crazy line ups or too many in the store. Enjoy.

Do yourself a favor and go in and buy the hummus. You are likely thinking that hummus is simple to make or that hummus is in every store everywhere. I thought the same thing. Then someone brought me a tub of this hummus. I now drive out of my way to get this hummus every single time. Just do yourself a favor and get this hummus. The only regret you will have is not getting two tubs.

Wonderful hidden gem in West Vancouver's Ambleside. The owners commitment to fresh produce and organic meats and vegetables is consistent. Prices are fair, and there are always great specials. A great place to shop for freshness on a daily basis.

Love that I can get healthy produce glutenfree homemade sprouted hummus, best quality goat cheese and my Young Living Thieves Household Cleaner. I stop here on my way back home from Horseshoe Bay for healthy snacks.
