I feel that the staff working here at this branch needs to get a raise or some sort of recognition from restore management or leadership. Staff like Darlene, Josie, Patrick, they are always willing to help, greets us with a friendly hello, courteous on the phone when we call asking about a specific item; I frankly think they are a star!

I witnessed first hand last week how rude some customers can be to these staff. This particular case revolve around a set of keys for a cabinet, customers are not always right and should not take their anger towards staff- in this case this male customer even swore at the staff there making a scene. It’s a place for everyone to buy furnitures/ home improvement items, if you can’t find a good deal, move on!

Great place to find second hand good quality furniture and construction materials at a discount. Should definitely be checked before buying things on Facebook Marketplace. Price tends to be more affordable and sometimes they put things on sale

I cannot advocate this place enough. We've basically furnished our house here with extremely good deals. We've saved thousands of dollars! Got a new plush king size mattress worth over $1500 for $75 bucks! Got a genuine leather couch for like $150! This place saved us after we moved from the states and had to leave a lot of our stuff behind!

If your looking for building deals or furniture for yourself, your kids or projects this is a great place to start. I got 2 dressers for grandkids for $30.00- wood at that. I do check different locations often when looking for pieces for great deals. Also supports a great cause.

This is second hand items for charity. The prices aren't bad at all. Lots of parking and lots of product to choose from. They dont deliver but you have up to 4 days to pick up your goods.

There are treasures and bargains to be found. Was a Restore supporter of south Vancouver branch already, but if I were handy I would be here all the time.

Fantastic deals! I shop here first if I'm in need of light fixtures, flooring, blinds, shelving etc. Great people on staff and volunteers. Great cause to support.

The review below is what was written a while back

Another incident I just have a real tough time with is staff that are so eager to go home the last 15 minutes are focused on getting u to leave instead of serving you. What makes this even worse is a Manager. I am from chilliwack and was running late but wanted to check if there was Ryobi tools for sale. I was met at door by the ENFORCER ANDREA MANAGER @ between 5 and 10 minutes before store closed and was not even allowed in. She wasn't at all interested or even asking what my needs were. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME SHE HAS TURNED MY EXPERIENCE WITH HABITAT INTO A NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE.
It seems that there is no looking by management at the Google reviews and or comments on them

Below was what was written initially.

I think this is the super store of their chain! You will find the biggest store with gr8 manager and staff. I renovated a house and saved thousands.
An update to my review 2 years ago....
There has been a lot of staff turnover here. Part of the fun and practicality of the place is staff get to know you...and there is an exchange of commradery and they know your tastes and budget and are excited to be able to keep their donated product moving quickly into the hands of customers.
I recently went in a purchased a display unit that I thought I could fit into a new house I was moving into. I paid and went home and got phone calls from the NEW MANAGER ANDREA . She rammed policy and rules and regulations down my throat not listening to why the size was not going to work...a resolution was finally worked out..but I feel this lady who on the last call hung up and never heard my side of the story..She has no idea how much of an advocate I am for the concept and this store in particular and the amount of spending I have done there. She was only wanting to instill policy. A store like this can lose its traction in the market if the staff are managed by wrong choices. People love the deals they get at Habitat...but in addition they like the relation the have with the people working there...without us shopping there there is no store...I am hoping the management reads this and hears the feedback and leans towards better relations at this store. The junior staff and cash staff have been excellent.
Go down to Douglas Rd location and see the sincerity integrity and consideration that Wayne & Peter give you if you need their help!

I went to drop off a donation. This place is huge ! I didn't realize they have furniture, I thought it would all be building materials.
Anyway, remember to donate your stuff and if your looking for used stuff...check out Restore.

I love this store. The best in the chain. It is the size of a medium size department store but is rather pricey.
