Safeway Garneau

I love this Safeway store! I've been going there since 1980. The store staff have always been helpful. The pharmacy staff is the greatest! Kit,Dixie and Jasmine are knowledgeable and fun too. So great to have people that know you. Thanks to all of you.

I had a blip in finances. Who hasn't; but went shopping. Safeway!?! But I have almost always shopped at a Safeway. I ask myself WHY? I have shopped at Safeway. Usually Oliver branch. But the last bit. This location.
The staff are God's kind of People . Don't take offense. Call it maker then.
I love Safeways products. Some are scary expensive . Many in the middle of the road
Then the bags of $1.99 . Each with different produce. Sweet potato in one. Long slim. Fresh. Another $1.98 med small potatoes. What more can a single want.. then, the last bag. 3 Apple's, a cosmic. Oh wow, I wanted to taste one. Then a pink Lady and another one. Plus a lemon a nice one.

But, they are basic and kind.

It's a smaller Safeway, but they stock it really well, and it always feels good to shop here.

I love going to Safeway, their produce is fresh and the service at the meat department is very good

Great store! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff with tons of local selection, best of all they carry Dark Sky Distillery products like the multiple international award winning Stormy Vodka

Great location and hours. Friendly staff. Fresh produce and meat. Deli is small but food is tasty. Accessible parking. Building is old and needs upgrades.

Edit: Building has had extensive renovations, massive improvement to lighting although store is still small and cramped for how busy this location is, overall a vast improvement!

This store has been completely renovated. It seems like there is more room inside and definitely more organized. They have added an excellent deli section and precooked food section. Definitely a good place to go for your groceries. I had a good experience at this location.

It's a Safeway. They sell groceries. Nice layout. Produce looks good. Decent baked goods. Like the deli and hot food takeout looks good. It would be nice if they labeled the items on the hot food buffet table though. A log of deep fried stuff looks alike.

I would always buy my Nimbus Water Refill from this Safeway location. Parking space is wide enough specially during rush hours. The staff were very helpful enough specially when I started buying my water and showed me how to buy from the Self-Checkout. Produce here in Safeway is the best.

Awesome service and cleaning during Covid-19 situation.

For a grocery store on Whyte It has always held a unique vibe that no other Safeway can. May it be the closeness of the university or the edgy style of Whyte. Both employee and customer mesh well in the atmosphere. I went simply for crackers and gatoraid. But left feeling full of energy. Very good vibes here. 👍

It's so odd but I go to safeway primarily for their organic free range eggs. I always feel like they tastes more egglike than other brand's eggs. Their fruits and vegetables are usually fresh and I was pleasantly surprised to find fresh okros the last time I visited.

Nice store in a good location, only complaint would be that it is a smaller store and was very busy since its beside the university. Im sure there are less busy times to shop and it did have everything i needed. Staff were excellent very helpful and volunteered to help unlike most places where its next to impossible to find anyone to help. Overall great store

Place is clean. Prices are a little high but you know what they all are.

Brian in the baked goods department was very courteous and knowledgeable about the gluten free bread selection
