Best place to rent your formals and less stress to get a complete attire for an event! For less than $250, we were able to get my son a suit, pants, shirt, vest, bowtie, suspenders, cuff links, pocket square, and even shoes included! This is so ideal since we don’t want him to wear the same suit over and over plus he is still growing up so no money wasted! We checked retail prices from Moore’s and Tiptop, both more than $300 and that’s only for suit and pants NOT an entire package.

Maricar Icasiano-Salaveria was amazing. She was welcoming as soon as we walked into the store without an appointment, we never ever felt rushed and she took the time to make sure we were getting exactly the style we wanted. Her sense of humour was much appreciated and she never ever made us feel bad for the short notice we had on when we needed the suit. I will definitely refer people to her, and definitely be back. She even multitasked and helped the new staff while cracking jokes with us. 5 star service Maricar, we already canceled our earlier suit rental just to go with our options at Derks. Super accommodating, great customer service. We rented 3 suits: father of bride and 2 ringbearers. Lots of compliments - especially for the kids! Would recommend and will be back for future needs.

The whole process with them went super smooth. Most of our group was from the US, so we couldn’t get them all in to get sized there. The guys just sent us their sizes and we relayed them to Derks, and all our suits came out perfect. Additionally, people arrived in town at different times, so not everyone was able to come in at the same time to get their suits and try them on. They were very accommodating with that as well. Also the process for going in and picking suits was very smooth, their staff is knowledgeable on trends while still respecting your wishes of your vision for the attire. Highly recommend!

We used Derks Formals for our groomsmen wedding party rentals and it was perfect. They have a large selection of suits, vests, ties, shoes etc and made it very easy for the guys to be measured and pick up what they needed. Customer service was wonderful and they went above and beyond to make our special day very memorable. We had rentals in both Calgary and Edmonton and they made sure everyone matched. We even had a couple groomsmen who were coming from outside of Alberta and they were able to send in their measurements. The staff made sure that everyone looked their best. We also recommended Derks for guests coming from out of town and they were able to assist everyone from a teenager to a grandfather. As the groom, also rented a sweet suit jacket to change into for the dance! Thanks Derks!

Our experience with Derks this far has been awesome. We showed up 45 minutes earlier than our appointment time and they got us right in. We dealt with Katie and she was fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and was very helpful in guiding us to make great choices for our wedding day. She answered emails in a timely manner and we feel confident everything will be great for the big day.

Overall I had a pretty good experience renting suits for my wedding from Derks. Service seemed to vary from one visit to the next, a couple times I was completely ignored and others I had full attention. The suits themselves looked great and I was very happy with how everyone looked. I would definitely rent from Derks again.

Patrick Bouvier, Fashion Consultant, Derks Sherwood Park, is an exceptional clothing sales professional. Original intent was to shop for tuxedo shirts. Patrick immediately measured neck and arm lengths and then searched out two different and distinct tuxedo shirts that are perfect fits. Also a lovely tux tie:). Patrick then also provided excellent advice regarding sizes and quality of casual dress shirts ideal for vacation wear. There were also sales on selected dress pants and he searched out pants that complement the shirts and measured pants for leg length tailoring. Patrick genuinely enjoys assisting clients with their formal and casual dress wear needs and takes the time required to ensure clients are pleased with their purchases. Will definitely consult Patrick Bouvier at the Derks Sherwood Park location in the future!

We took our son to Derk's Formals today to look to rent a Graduation suit/tux. Our fashion consultant Sandra was awesome! She helped fit him in a suit that matched his body type perfectly. Once all fitted in the suit, tie and shirt, he looked so good and was so happy, comfortable and confident in what he was wearing that we ended up purchasing it! The quality is also very good. All in all we are very happy with our purchase today and the exceptional service! Thank you Sandra :)

SERIOUSLY AWESOME STAFF! I recently was here for my wedding to pick out tuxedos for me, my best man and groomsmen.. It was so painless. The girl that helped us was great! She was so attentive to us and was there every step of the way. I walked in with only a color scheme in mind and not much else, and through all our indecisiveness, she was happy to help with everything along with a genuine smile on her face and fun sense of humor. It's really great when you go to someone who works with the public and loves their job and working with people. We all felt very at ease through the whole process. I have gone back once or twice since then to make a small change here and there, and the other staff that helped me were every bit as professional and kind. I also have a friend whom has been here for other weddings that he has been a part of, and I haven't heard him say anything negative. In short, I highly recommend Derks on the South Side!

I have rented from Derks 3 or 4 times in my life. Each time has been an easygoing experience. My last experience is what prompted me to write this review. I needed a suit for a Saturday wedding but I was out of town until the Friday before the wedding. I called Derks and explained my predicament. The lady on the phone calmly said "no problem" I was stunned that they could get me a suit on such short notice. I set an appointment for the Friday before the wedding at 11 am and within an hour I was walking back to my car with the suit in its carrying bag. This establishment is a true gem as they have tailors on site to make adjustments to the suits as needed. I do not see myself ever renting a suit from anywhere else.

Derks is a great place to rent formal wear. I used them this past weekend for my best friends wedding. All of the wedding party rented suits from them with no issues. I had a small issue with my order, they forgot my suspenders. I stopped by during the day and they gave me a new pair with no questions asked. The staff could tell I was in a rush so they stopped whatever they were doing and helped me out.

My husband and I used the Derks off of Whyte ave for suit rentals, and we could not have been happier. The customer service was quick, knowledgeable, and very helpful! The suits themselves turned out very sharp, and we received complements all evening on how good the men looked. It was an excellent match for the bridesmaid dresses & colors. We would highly recommend Derks for anyone!

Derks has always been awesome! 3 times I have have been a groomsmen in wedding parties and all 3 times we got our rentals at Derks. Very easy and simple and the staff is always helpful. Shout out to Patty as well for helping us out with the fittings all 5 of us in the wedding party were measured and out the door in less then an hour.

Had a great experience here while ordering suits for my buddy’s wedding. Staff were friendly and very good at what they do. The product they stock is great and exactly what the groom wanted. Got our group of 7 in and out quickly.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED If you need suits or anything for wedding, this is the place to come. Patty and her fellow co-workers were outstanding. Me and the boys had to get our rentals didn't really have a color in mind what so ever. Patty had a great idea to get my soon to be wife to send a picture of her dress. Brilliant!!

Absolutely AMAZING service from Derks Formals on Whyte Ave. My cousin is getting married in ten days and was able to book an appointment, walk in and walk out with the classiest tuxedo in the SAME day. Anyone going here needs to get AVERY to help them out - she is hands down the definition of EXPERT customer service. Being in Derks for five minutes you get a feel that Avery has everything organized and in check from top to bottom; her prioritization, time management, eye for detail, and infectious personality makes you feel confident you came to the right place. She got my cousins measurements done, tux fitted, pressed/steamed, and paid for within 30 minutes. This all on top of her also checking in on the other customers, ensuring everyone in the building feels welcomed and looked after (not to mention maintaining the appropriate guidelines for social distancing etc.). Thank you so much Avery for setting my cousin up to feel like the million bucks that he looked like all thanks to you! Will definitely be back at Derks very soon.

We stopped in to get one of our Groomsmen measured and we arrived 2 hours early for our appointment (due to picking him up and such). The staff did not hesitate to fit him in and get him measured! This was very much appreciated especially since our groomsman is from the Yukon and had to fly home the next morning and he is not sure if he will be able to come back before the wedding! The extra time that we were able to spend with him due to the wonderful staff at Derks on Whyte, is more the appreciated! The staff did not make us feel rushed at all! Could not have asked for a better experience!
