Big shout out to Kim in the bakery department who, with her assistance, patience, and help save the birthday party with the cake of choice. Every time I visit this location the staff are extremely helpful, consistently friendly and are willing to stop doing whatever it is they’re doing to assist me. It’s worth passing other grocery stores to hit up this location.

I know most of the staff, always friendly helpful. Mike and I have been friends for a long time. He's the best manager the store could ever ask for

Very clean, well maintain. They dont seem to sell any alcohol beverages though. Luckily LCBO is right next to it.

Always a great selection of fresh food and a good assortment of meats.

Small but well stocked store.

I have used their online ordering since COVID started (and will continue to sue to convenience). I used to drive 20 mins weekly just to use them because they always get the order right and they take care to pick produce well. I now live 5 mins away and will continue to use their grocery pick up :)

They’re always happy to help inside also.

A good selection of meat that's usually fairly good. Produce has decent selection, but I'd recommend going to the farm boy as the produce is both better and cheaper. imo, the massive exception is the green grapes. For some reason, I can't get enough of those. The staff here tend to be quite nice and helpful. The tenders are usually very good, except the one time I had some that were not very cooked and then the manager was super helpful in figuring out why and getting me a refund. I hope they weren't too hard on the cooks as I think it was their first day or something.

I would like to send kudos to the baked goods lady who worked on Saturday, September 17, 2022 ( Roger's Independent at Billings Bridge) for going beyond the expected to serve me. Her assistance was such that the people at the event I was attending ( Chilean Independence day) were totally impressed. Thank you.

Good grocery selection and I like how the staff can help load heavy grocery items into your vehicle - not many places seem to do this anymore!

Owner and staff are super helpful and pleasant. The store is clean and it's easy to find items. It is a lovely environment to shop in, I would 100% reccomend this location.

Excellent customer service from Sarah the cashier. I have been collecting pc points for a while and she's the first person to ever tell me how many points I have and can spend to save money on my purchase. I used to be a cashier myself and I know the importance of being positive and friendly to customers as they are the last employees that customers will see before leaving the store. So the fact of having a friendly cashier just brings joy in my shopping experience. Thank you so much!

This Independent I visited a week ago has some pretty good deals on food and their staff is very nice people. The store is very clean and smells very nice. I would suggest people to shop here.

This is my favourite grocery store in Ottawa - I've been shopping there for years and I've never had a bad experience. Their prices are generally very reasonable, and their food has been of good quality. I get the impression that the owner(s) really value their customers and want to provide a good experience.

Excellent products and standards during the pandemic. The customer service counter has very professional staff, and the student discount days are a blessing for those who need it. Thanks Riley's YIG, I'll be seeing you again soon enough!

I was picking up my supper on the way to work. The cashier was friendly and the store was steady busyish I has 10 minutes before my bus came and I was in and out.
