This is such a beautiful store run by some amazing women! Love the cozy and friendly atmosphere and appreciate all the love and dedication poured into the Ayr community with allowing special events in store as well. There’s a good selection of books and music in store and unique pieces from local artisans. They will also order books for you if they don’t have it in store! The customer service is fantastic and we love stopping by, even if it’s not to purchase something.

So lucky to have this gem right here in Ayr! If you are a book lover you must check them out! The owners jacqui and Courtney are super welcoming and friendly. Very community oriented. They can make some great recommendations if you're looking for a fabulous read. I stopped in to get a record for my husband for his birthday and jacqui knew exactly what he was looking for. They also host some truly amazing events like yoga, music and craft nights. if you haven't checked out this spot - YOU MUST GO! Best atmosphere, pop in and say hello!

Music and Books Ayr has quickly become my favorite local haunt since its opening. The staff here are simply outstanding, combining friendliness with an impressive knowledge of literature and music. Their book recommendations have been nothing short of fantastic, leading me to several great reads.

I’ve visited several times already and have bought numerous books from their diverse and thoughtfully curated selection. Each visit is a new adventure, often filled with engaging and in-depth literary discussions. The addition of a growing album collection adds a unique flavor to the bookstore experience.

The kids’ section at Music and Books Ayr is a vibrant and inviting space, perfect for young readers to explore. The store itself is beautifully designed, creating an atmosphere that’s both cozy and intellectually stimulating. Music and Books Ayr is more than just a bookstore; it’s a cultural haven and a fantastic addition to our community. It’s a place where books and music come alive, and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who cherishes these arts. A must-visit for anyone in Ayr!

I’ve only been once but I already love this place. They receive shipments of books daily so there will always be new books to discover. The back room is very thoughtfully set up as a study and/or reading space for those who want to stay longer.

The owners are really wonderful as well — it’s special to have spaces like these in the community and you can see how much time and effort they put in to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
