Cute japanese mart. There's a restaurant inside and we had lunch there. Not a lot of seating space but I found it super popular. A lot of people kept coming in to order. After that we walked in the mart that had a variety of things. Ended up getting tea canisters that had beautiful designs and some snacks.

Lots of interesting Japanese brand of grocery. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Price not cheap but you expect to pay a bit more if you need something special, especially from Japan

Heisei Mart is far from my house but I go here often because they have lots of products that are hard to find elsewhere. For example, dango (mochi rice balls on skewers) is difficult to get in Toronto but Heisei Mart sells several flavours of them, such as matcha with red bean, mitarashi (sweet soy sauce), and black sesame. The rice balls have a really nice chewy texture and all of the flavours are delicious but my favourite is mitarashi; I always buy a tray of it when I'm at the store. Heisei Mart sells lots of other authentic Japanese groceries as well, including kiri mochi, Kewpie mayonnaise, umeboshi, sushi rice, and daifuku. Additionally, they have a selection of prepared Japanese meals such as bento boxes, karaage, sushi, and omurice. They also sell traditional style Japanese dishes, cups and home decor. Lastly, the cashiers are friendly and quick. Overall this store is a hidden gem for authentic Japanese goods.

EDIT: Heisei Mart continues to be a lovely gem offering plenty of Japanese food, homeware, snacks and more. It looks like there's a food stall/restaurant that has opened up too. Clean and organized as usual.

Clean and organized Japanese market with mostly imported Japanese ingredients and snacks. A bit on the pricy side but you'll find a lot specialty items here. They have some prepared foods like onigiri, mochi, and Bento boxes too. Covid protocols are being followed strictly so you'll likely have to line up.

Love this place! Excellent selection of Japanese products - food, souvenirs, snacks, etc. There are also a bunch of cute little restaurants/cafes in the plaza, and a bakery as well. Quality and service is 5/5, but of course I wouldn't expect anything less from the Japanese. Will be back soon!!

Best grocery store in the GTA for all of your Japanese food, snack and drink products. Everyone is helpful and friendly and they also have bento boxes and other ready to eat food offerings. Kitchenwares and other products available are also available. The attached restaurant Niwatei sells hot food if you need a bite as well, their Japanese curry is very good.

Amazing little grocery store for Japanese food and snacks! They moved from the original location to across in the opposite building. Looks like there will be a cafe and not sure if the bakery and meat department will love but everything is still easily accessible. Coming here with an empty or full stomach is not a good idea as there are a lot of snacks that you can’t get anywhere else! That’s one of the reasons I love coming here. Also an abundance of drinks and most likely something for everyone. Definitely give this a shot and visit J- town to take a look for yourselves.

Heisei is now newly renovated and moved right across the old unit. It's more spacious than before and now has several small isles acommon to most supermarkets. Still the same great Japanese products as usual. Staff are very friendly.

Very popular market with daily fresh and Japanese style bentos! My son loves the imported treats. There's many goods things nowhere else in the city. Weekends there are outdoor sellers like this robata stoll grilling octopus and other seafood! Yum!

Great place to browse different Japanese cuisine, and small shops. There are items you can only find at shops here, and not at big brand shops.

This is what I got. This is the ultimate place for getting Japanese anything. They have dishes, cutlery, ingredients, fresh veggies(only found in Japan veggies as long with cool packs of 3 types of mushroom (enoki, shiitake, and shimeji)), convinience type sweets, baked sweets from the near bakery in the market, a HUGE selection of candys, take-out sushi, bento, tea, frozen section, and MORE. The employees know their way around the mart. It is a bit small not going to lie, and there was a few things in particular is was looking for that they didn’t have. 1. They didn’t have chopsticks, well they had the 1 time use ones but not the long-term ones that you actually use on the daily 2. They did not have Glutinous rice flour, not a huge deal because they still had mochiko. Things are a bit pricy so I would suggest just making sure you are getting a good price on what you’re getting. I saw they were selling like 1 Mochi for 2.50, then I got a pack of 8 for 3.95, so such a steal. I would suggest coming here as even if it is far it is a beautiful outside atmosphere with other Japanese restaurants and bakeries!

The best store for Japanese staples and snacks. Pity the new location isn't bigger.

Wish they stocked a bit more consistently. Find a product you like and you may never see it again.

Lots of great items for sale. So many items from Japan that you can't get in typical Asian markets. The whole complex is great.

A neat bespoke grocery store that offers many staples for cooking Japanese cuisine among other Japanese snacks and drinks. They recently relocated across the way in J Town so the layout is improved. The staff are friendly and ready to help as well.

It is a little tight so you need to slide past people when it's busy, but not a reason to skip this store!

Amazing selection of hard to find treats and delicious grocery items from Japan. I drive 2 hours from Belleville, every 3 weeks, just to stock up on things!

Staff are always super sweet and I always find new and exciting things.
