Horrible experience at staples today. Went computer shopping for my son. Was walking along the isle and was approached by an employee, who was with another employee, asking if I needed any help. Yes, I’m looking for a desktop for my son. She pointed be towards the back of the store and told me they’ll be displayed along the back wall. Went to the back and found nothing but desks there. Went back and couldn’t find the original employee but did find the other employee she standing with. Approached her and said, “I’m sorry but could find the desktops there but could you help me?” She asked,”what are you looking for” to which I answer “a desktop”. Then she asked me three times “a what?” As she kept asking me “a what”(3X) my answers kept getting louder and louder. To which she said sir please don’t be rude. At this post I’m so dumbfounded, I kept saying it louder and louder cause I thought she couldn’t hear me. But it turns out she doesn’t know a desktop computer is also referred to a desktop for short. In the last 4 years the level of competence in this location has nosedived. This is the last time I’ll be dealing with level of incompetence and haphazard employees. Thus, I’ll never be returning to this location again.

Along with this review, I reached out to Staples customer service. Honestly, wasn’t expecting anything to come of it. Not only did they respond but they went above and beyond my expectations. I’m very satisfied with the interaction I’ve had with their customer relations teams and hope for better trained staff in this particular location. Again, thank you so much Staples Canada for rectifying the situation and regaining a customer. BTW, the 5 stars are for Staples Canada not this location.

As much as I love printing at home , Staples printing is definitely much cheaper than constantly buying ink lol

Sometimes customer service like everywhere is delayed , but the lady helped me promptly.
Was really good about her service.
After i was saying excuse me, tried to get the attention of a Walmart worker, for assistance on services..
She looked at me , kept acting like she never saw me, or that I had been standing waiting calmly while she finished helping others .
Nope...
Ignores me completely, then goes to the photo copy machines looking in the opposite direction, when looking back to see me while I say excuse me again , she turns her head ....
K this lady clearly saw me stand infront of her till even
So I finally turned away, said loudly, ok I get , I will take my services somewhere else ..
I told the lady at Walmart that their customer service sucks ...
It's not just Walmart though, it's all over , Canadian, they have no clue what or where the item is you been looking for , ( know they sell but got moved ) .
You get I am new here Idk .
Maybe help direct them to someone who can help .
They have no clue about the products in the departments they work in , because we always get , Uhhhhhhh idk ....
Uhhh ans you work here in sales services because ...
I went to Walmart looking for services again ... I found a robot washing floors, it was not much help for services on advise ...
So thank you to the cashier at Staples for being a human, being able to help with direction.

The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. One of their techs came to my home to install my cheap printer which had already died. He took me to the store where one of the sales guys fixed me up with everything I needed, then took me back home and got me set up. He definitely went above and beyond customer service.

I use the photo shop often. the ladies are always helpful . But maybe put two on Shift cause the one lady does a job of four

Self copy centre was straightforward... I had a thumb drive file to print, and the instructions were ready to follow. Not to say mistakes could be made... Color vs B&W, 2 sided, size of paper, etc.

I get all my line-cards printed here for Work and we also used them for our event place cards etc. Always gets done on time when they say they will be done, best pricing I can find in Edmonton and helpful staff to dial in your selections for lowest price and best quality you want.

On several occasions in the past year I have had the pleasure of being served by your employee Sukhjeet. She is very knowledge, helpful , efficient and kind. It takes a good company to attract and retain excellent employees. Thank you Sukhjeet and thank you Staples.

Their printing services selection is pretty good but unfortunately when I returned to print, they said the machine was broken and told me to go to another location. The South Common location did print out my 8x11 glossy menus and it turned out nicely. Unfortunately, they cannot print custom-sized larger posters. Just take your business to Riley's downtown. Fraction of cost and done fast.

Great Staff and Morgan was so friendly and helpful this morning. I will definitely be going there again.

After some intense research on the best laptops at the best price, I went with Staples.
Rohan was the associate who helped me. He was amazingly knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions, made recommendations, and was extremely patient with me... As technology is not my forte.
I will be purchasing all of my technology from Staples. I'm thoroughly impressed with the customer service AND knowledge that was given to me!

Jay went far above the call of duty to make up for the frustrating incidence I was experiencing.

There is a great selection of items including the craft items. The service isn’t slow. Lines are short and they bring new items in stock ASAP which is awesome so I don’t miss out on great items. I recommend you come here to get your craft items and such.

I have had great experiences dealing with Staples associates in the tech department. Bikram at the Meadows Staples in Edmonton was a pleasure to deal with. Very knowledgeable in the area of computers (purchase, set up, upgrades etc.) He was also extremely helpful in helping my 84 year old father get into his phone after passwords were forgotten. I would definitely recommend Staples for the purchase and tech support of computers, software and all my technology needs.

Morgan of your store went out of her way to find a requested item. Very impressed with her service and friendly attitude.

Love their printing quality and stationary iteams.

I don’t even go library anymore for printing or photos copies very convenient and advance processes

Even if you are not home for your FedEx or DHL or UPS Parcel our deliveries you can pick up from this point later , 😊
