Food Basics consistently impresses me with its affordable prices and decent selection of groceries. The store is always clean and well-organized, making it easy to find what I need quickly. The staff are friendly and helpful, and I appreciate that they offer a variety of budget-friendly options without sacrificing quality. Overall, Food Basics provides a great shopping experience for those looking to save money on their grocery bills.

Love this store; it fulfills an enormous need for the neighbourhood. Workers appear to be upgrading the signage. However, I noted a sign (since removed) indicating the store would be closing. I personally believe this would prove to be a hardship for many in the area. I hope it's not true. It would be a loss to many who rely on good food at reasonable cost.

It is big place. Has pretty much everything one can think of when doing there grocery shopping. It the convenient as well and the staff is friendly and helpful too. Many will take you to the place where you can get the item you are asking them about. Really nice. The store is wide spread too.

Always great deals the shelves are stock up again and the ac is keeping the store nice and cool !!enjoy shopping everyone happy Father's day they do have some nice steak there thick and big cuts perfect for dad ,I personally like to get my meat at highland frams but I'm local and walking so basic is close for me.

Very helpful staff! I needed groceries that were in their weekly flyer but could not locate them. At least two staff went out of their way to find what I was looking for, and one of them actually found the product and searched me out in a different aisle and gave it to me! This store is the right size store for a quick in-and-out weekly grocery shopping visit. The flyer prices are very good!

Haven't been to this Food Basics since they had the place renovated and in my opinion, it is a fantastic upgrade. Tbh I only used to shop at Food Basics because groceries were the most inexpensive compared to other supermarkets. The give was dealing with poor lighting the dindgy, cramped feeling setting. I would travel to Highland Farms after Food Basics because meat and produce was an absolute no to feed my family due to their consistently unsavory appearance. Now: This Food Basis has great lighting, very clean meat and produce sections, and I noticed more freezers and they all had the most transparent glass doors that are obviously properly maintained. One more thing, cookies in the pic $1.47! it's been too long since I got this deal lmao

I stopped shopping in other places altogether. This is my go to grocery shopping mart.

I really love this Food Basics. I always see cashiers dealing with mean and unreasonable customers but they maintain good customer service. Thank you for being there and being super organized during the pandemic.

I also love this location because they have a lot of international foods and I always make it a habit to try something new every week when I go shopping. Their produce section is getting better too! The avocados don’t spoil after a day anymore.

Great selection clean store staff are fantastic!!

Good food. The produce was fresh and well priced. The meat choices were the standard fare. The quality of the meats was good. The bread choices could have been better, but not having an in house bakery does have it's advantages.

One should be able to find most household related things (laundry, cleaning, bath, and kitchen) in the store. Though they don't carry much more than that. Food and Households basic.

The prices are low and reasonable

Conveniently located near DVP and just south of the 401. Parking is moderate. Prices in general are decent. Items on sale are usually available for the duration of the sale which is a bonus as you can go there the last day of the sales week and still pick up items on sale. Cashiers are courteous. Store layout is easy to navigate and signage is clear. The area, in general, is being built up in anticipation of upcoming condominiums.

Nice grocery store which is super convenient for the local community to access. The parking lot has recently received a face lift and is very nicely paved. Lots of parking available and a few other great businesses located in the same plaza, making this location convenient.

This is the best food basics ever! I have so many memories of this place. Customer service is excellent, staff is awesome and the overall setup is par excellence. Its a cute place full of cute people!

There was a night I lost my laundry card inside the store so I told the produce clerk he went out of his way to help me and introduce me to the manager Tony Dawson . So Tony told me to come back the next day . So thats what I did and the next day , Tony assissted me call his assistant manager to look for my cards in the office. They got my card and return it to me . My point here is they went above and beyond just to help me to find my card. Kudos to this store for good customer service and definitely I will go here all the time now.

Great prices, great product availability and great service. If you shop before 3PM on a weekday, you will find the store not busy at all.
