Team Town Sports- Meadowvale

This is a long overdue review. To put my experience at Team Town Sports Mississauga into context, I live in northern Vaughan and have already made several visits here, 45-60 min one way, all to purchase different items each time. Selection for baseball and softball equipment is excellent, carrying everything from beginner to high end and even some hard to find collectables like authentic Jays jerseys from previous years (yes I picked one up).

But what really impressed me about this place is the staff. I don't know if it's part of their training program or they just hire the friendliest people on earth but every single visit here was an "above average" experience. For a large sports store, they really make it feel like a family run operation. Everyone, right down to the cashiers, are knowledgeable about their products and genuinely willing to help you find things you're looking for, even if it means multiple trips to find items in the back without making you feel like you're hassling them. Yes it's part of their customer service mandate but can't say this is even the standard in some other major sporting goods stores I won't mention names of.

I recently purchased a nice pair of 100% sunglasses which I needed for the field on sunny days, and while trying to make up my mind on a few pairs, the manager was patient and despite having to make a few trips back and forth, he was super helpful and helped me get the right pair, all while it was quite a busy time in the store.

This was just my latest experience but it's been consistently like that for the previous 5 or so visits I've made. Based on service alone, this will be my first go-to sporting goods store for years to come. If you're looking for some nice high end gear and appreciate good service to get them, I can't recommend TTS enough.

Finally a store worth going to if you live on the west end. No more long drives to homerun sports, when looking for specialty baseball items. Homerun sports is overpriced in comparison. Has a baseball hitting area to measure exit velo etc. can be doubled for soccer as well. Hockey life has an obvious edge over Team sports, when it comes to hockey pads and hockey apparels but team sports has all you would need to get the job done, an area to test out ur new stick, stake sharpening etc. with a lot of Soccer, basketball items as well. Softball specific areas as well as baseball youth area is a nice touch, simple and easy to find what ur looking for without having to sort through high school and adult gear. I can defiantly see this place putting sports check out of business from a store front perspective.

The attention to detail in the feel of the store, along with gum and seeds at the check out aisle give this store that Dick’s Sporting goods feel, which is something Canada wanted for a long time now. This store may just make us think twice when ordering sporting goods from the states…

This store and it's customer service is top notch. Follow the process. If you have a problem send them an email and I guarantee you they will handle your problem immediately or with in hours. So I was weary at first of buying from team town sports . I read the reviews and they sounded good . I made my order . Unfortunately they ran out of my size after I ordered and they had to cancel my order . I was very upset . I was down right rude to these people but they came back and provided the best customer service I've had in a long time. You can count on team town sports they will go out of there way to get you what you want. You are dealing with real people who actually care... At first I thought they sucked . But I gave them a chance to fix my problem and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. They have good prices and free shipping. And real customer service. And I'm saying this after having a problem with them . They absolutely when out of there way I'm not a paid reviewer this is a genuine from the heart review. Team town sports is awesome. And Gose far beyond the call of duty to help there customers.

Great staff! We were immediately greeted when entering the store. The customer rep promptly guided me to the football gloves that I purchased. I ended up buying 2 pairs because of the great sale!

I just went to Team Town to buy shoes and had a wonderful experience! Lathusan was so helpful and patient as i tried on multiple styles and sizes! Huge thank you for the positive experience!!

I usually don't write reviews, but this store was amazing. My daughter and husband came here, and right when they walked in they were greeted with smiles and people ready to help! (not very common at other sports stores).

We got hockey equipment for my first time hockey player from another hockey store, and many of the equipment was sized wrong. Her coach told us about TeamTown Sports, and the experience was amazing.

Maya was SUPER PATIENT, helpful, and quick to service. She went ABOVE and BEYOND by answering all hockey equipment questions, and which ones to buy that was worth our value and price. She was so patient with my daughter when they were trying skates on, and helping her find the right fit! Maya literally saved my daughter from having injury as my daughters skates (from prohockey heartland) was sized wrong, and she was having a lot of pain skating (which my daughter thought was normal). Her hockey stick, shin pads needed to resize too - and Maya was great to find the right replacements for our budget and ensure safety. She was careful to make sure we found the right size this time, so my daughter could play hockey safely.

They also have a machine to scan your feet size for skates to get the right fit that other stores didn't offer! It was quick and efficient.

Maya did not hesitate to offer help, and we did not feel rushed to get our questions answered as first time hockey parents from head to toe! Overall exceptional customer service from Maya, and all the staff!

We also were finishing up with our skates sharpening when the store was closing, and the manager let us finish up so my daughter could have skates for her practice tmr!

Thank you to all the staff that work here, your smiles and positive vibes has really made this such a good shopping experience compare to other local hockey stores. We wont forget your smiles!

The store was clean, organized, and had a lot of variety of sports equipment! A one stop shop with exceptional customer service! :)

Came here on Black Friday and was able to get 2 pairs of UA shoes for my son at 50 off. It’s hard to find a size 6 Youth in stock everywhere so I was glad to find them here.

Store is clean, well maintained and fully stocked. Associates were friendly and helpful. The guy in cash was so polite and called me “maam” 😆

I had come to this store just to find a jersey I saw on their website, but I must say this is definitely a store that I will be coming back to come my baseball season. There is a lot of selection at this store, from sports jerseys to equipment. Its definitely a one stop shop for sports. There is also some equipment testing areas including to measure exit velo, which is very unique in my opinion. The store is like a combination of homerun sports and pro hockey life. It's like a Sportchek that is tuned more towards the true athlete and sports fans. The staff was also friendly and took time to tell me a bit about what was available at the store when I came in

I’ve driven by while the store was being built and I finally had the chance to check it out when it opened. I visited on Saturday looking for new shoes and BJ helped me out. The store looks great, the selection ample, and the workers genuinely helpful. Would visit again for future sporting goods needs.

A great addition to the Meadowvale community! Big, big shoutouts to Maya, the young, beautiful, patient and knowledgeable young lady that helped my picky, performance skater for over 2 hours, getting her into the perfect upgraded skates! The skates were perfectly baked and moulded, laced and sharpened. The added dry ice space was a great distraction, and the small ringette section was a nice surprise. No more bauer bump pain for my little. Thanks Maya, from the not-so-cheapskate mom, and thanks to all your supportive colleagues too. We'll see you all often.

Richard helped me pick out a pair of Nike’s for my upcoming indoor volleyball season. Richard & his colleagues were super friendly, educated & helpful throughout my first visit to Team Town. Excited to have these guys in the neighbourhood, will be back again soon.
