The Odd Spot

This is the most lovely game cafe I have ever visited. We arrived at 10:30am and didn't leave until 10pm. There is a great game selection, excellent service, and we practically had the place to ourselves for most of the morning and early afternoon. It's well set up to not feel cramped, even when it's busier. The owners are usually there and are very knowledgeable about their games. We fell in love with a game that they didn't have and they ordered it for us. Not only was it the most reasonable price around for the game, but it came within two weeks of ordering. At only $5 a person for unlimited stay and play, you really can't afford not to check out The Odd Spot!

This place is awesome!! It’s my new go to stop on my drive from Ottawa - Toronto. Great food and the people working are so kind. The place itself is super fun and eclectic, totally recommend this place!

We went for a murder mystery dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our night. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly and attentive. I'm gluten-free, and it was the best meal I've ever had while dining out.

this place is really really great. there is a staff member named reuben and he makes really great coffee. we’ve been here multiple times and he always does such a wonderful job and his customer service is so great. thank you odd spot, thank you reuben!!

A huge selection of board games to play. Several different areas to sit / play in, including couches and comfy chairs. Wonderful atmosphere.

Very cute little board game café with a good selection of games. The London Fog I ordered and the Oreo chocolate bite was very tasty, and the decor of the café is adorable and inviting.

Our friends were raving about it, and they were RIGHT! The place is gorgeous and cozy, quiet but lively. The staff is lovely and very helpful without being intrusive. The gentleman with the beard was able to explain a fairly complicated game in under two minutes and we understood enough to play the game and have fun with it. The food is nothing fancy but made fresh and delicious (special kudos for the chilli!) And the selection of games is OUT of this WORLD! Altogether, the 6 of us (4 kids 2 adults) spent over 2 hours trying out new games and having dinner for under 130$, ending with a lovely stroll to the nearby river. Highly recommend.

We stopped by Cherly by accident and discovered this wonderful eclectic little spot. If you like board games or for that matter, any games and a great cup of coffee, this is the spot for you. The food was really delicious and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely, we will be visiting again.

We came here 2 weeks ago for a Catan tournament. The owners are amazing and very welcoming. The space is beautifully decorated and we felt at home playing games here. The service, food and drinks were very good. We definitely recommend coming here if you are in the area!

The staff at The Odd Spot were warm and welcoming. We were passing through the town and stopped for some hot coffee and internet access. Happy to report that we received much more in that the coffee was great and board games were amazing. Definitely recommend paying a visit.

Food is great. Deli style counter service, not restaurant table service. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Trivia nights and games are so fun!!

First time inside.. Such a sweet inviting place. Had ciabatta egg salad sandwich Italian mix with decaffeinated coffee and incredible scone. Highly recommend to drop by going through Spencerville.

Very welcoming and enjoyable experience. My husband and I had a delicious lunch of chili and panini with good portions, an amazing coffee, soda and great conversation with the owners. They were warm and inviting and obviously had a passion for what they had created.

After lunch we enjoyed wandering around looking at the games selections and wishing we had more time to stay and play.

We will definitely be back when we are in Spencerville.

Amazing service from Teagan! She was super helpful picking out the items on the menu. The drink she made me was amazing and the food tasted delicious! Definitely coming back and hope to see Teagans lovely service again:)

Delicious! We had turkey pesto paninis the daily soup, veggies and dip, and a latte. Perfection! Super cute place with awesome board games and fun stuff to buy. Can’t wait to come back.

The Odd Spot owners, Amy and Marquis, are kind and customer-focused entrepreneurs. Even before the official opening of their Spencerville location, they provided excellent service in helping me select games for my children and as gift. Local pick up was free, fast, and friendly.

I was pleased to bring a large group of friends on their opening weekend. The staff facilitated a fun and engaging game, while we snacked on delicious freshly baked treats and hot beverages. We will return and look forward to adult game nights, with a cocktail in hand.

I have two young children who, after hearing about our night at The Odd Spot, wanted to see for themselves what we thought was a great addition to our community. The kids were very impressed with the made-from-scratch cookies and squares. The hot chocolates were as big as their heads, topped with mounds of whipped cream. No complaints from my men!

While the game café concept is new and might be considered ‘odd’ to some, hosts Amy, Marquis and staff are a delight. Best wishes on your new space in Spencerville.
