Haven't been able to come here for a few years, and was pleased to find it was as good as I'd remembered (actually, better!). The bennies are served on a delish, slightly crispy biscuit, accompanied by a perfect lemon-y hollandaise - fabulous. Highly recommend grabbing a scone to go, and enjoying a sweet treat on the nearby waterfront (the berry-white chocolate are yummy).

Loved the vibe of this place! The cutest brunch spot. The bacon and tomato eggs Benny was delicious; the biscuit was soft and tender and the hashbrowns paired well with the BBQ and hot sauces that were provided. The matcha latte was alright. Overall, it was a solid dish. No reservations, so come early on a weekend.

Only stayed in Sechelt for two and a half days but was recommended multiple times that I try this place out. It did not disappoint!
It was busy with a lineup but that line moved swiftly. The smoked salmon benny was delish! Portions were generous. Eggs were cooked perfectly. There was not a crumb left on that plate. This community is fortunate to have such a gem of a business with such friendly and hardworking staff.

Outstanding brunch/breakfast and drinks. The food portion was more than generous. I ordered the salmon eggs Benny and it was unreal, delicious so tasty! I would love to have had it again. Brenna was super nice, friendly and helpful in guiding me though the menu! I was one happy camper this morning!

Delicious breakfast with friendly service! Loved the casual relaxed atmosphere too. This cafe offers beautifully baked treats and dishes with generously sized portions. I absolutely loved my Basted Baker Hash. It’s like a warm breakfast salad with roasted peppers, mushrooms, pickled purple cabbage, crispy basted potatoes and a poached egg on a bed of fresh spinach. It was both delicious and beautiful! We also enjoyed an apple pie and a slice of carrot cake to go. I highly recommend this cafe!!

First time coming here, won't be the last! I ate the avocado and tomato benny, so delicious with their house sauce. Took a chocolate cookie walnut for the road, also didn't disappoint.

About two years ago we started visiting The Basted Baker when visiting Sechelt. It was always a holiday destination whenever we were here. We have since moved to the Sunshine Coast and it has become one of our regular spots. The staff is incredible and the food might be even better. Any one of our visitors who ask where to go, get the same answer. Basted!

Very busy place, and it's easy to see why. The food was great, and the team was very helpful and friendly.

Everything looked so good, we had full smoked salmon and eggs benedict breakfast, pulled pork sandwich and light breakfast. All of which were excellent, especially the biscuits were easily the best I have had so far!

Will definitely go back again to try other dishes and pastries!

Nice atmosphere, clean, staff were nice, food was yummy. Not a lot of selection on the menu, but I was happy with the quality of the food.

I got the "full" Huevos rancheros for $20. A little pricy, but it was a lot of food for the price. In hindsight, I'd have preferred to share half of it with someone else, but it was very good tasing food.

If you are in Sechelt, this place is a must stop! Great food! We went there in April, still cold and it's raining outside. They had an enclosed heated eating area at the back pass the kitchen. Very warm and cozy.
We will go back and recommend friends. We love this place so much, we wanted to buy their mug as souvenir, but it was too costly @$22!! Why so expensive? We didn't buy.

I have never been to a cafe where everyone working there is so kind and welcoming! My partner and I just moved to the Sunshine Coast and finding a place where there’s great coffee was important to me. Best coffee in town by far! Their biscuits are delicious too, and I look forward to actually sitting down and enjoying their eggs Benny on my day off.

Great brunch and lunch spot! We visited twice during our stay. Their baked goods are delicious, comforting and great treats after mornings of hiking. The portions are generous, drinks were delicious and the vibe of the cafe/restaurant was great. Tip: it does get very busy and thus full in the indoor space but head to the back for more seating in a charmingly decorated and covered outdoor space. Also, make room or take home their carrot cake, it really is so good!

Hailed as one of the coasts top brunch spots, they also deliver on lunch fare, though with more limited options.

Tried the asian noodle chicken bowl and side spinach salad (a steal at $3.50) - and both were fresh and delicious. The chicken bowl comes with a mildly spicy hoisin dressing and thin rice noodles. Shared the two dishes and it filled up two of us adequately for lunch.

There's a cute heated outdoor covered patio out back with four picnic tables - and ample seating inside.

Basted Baker was one of the highlights of this trip to the Sunshine Coast. The made from scratch food was amazing. If you are looking for a standout brunch experience this is it. They use Beachcomber espresso beans and they no how to make coffee here.

Capital D delicious! 👩‍🍳 I had the Hogster for lunch and it was a perfect size for lunch and tasted wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we took a couple boxes of pastries for later. Also special mention for the Pork Roll and the coffee was thoroughly enjoyed!

I had the basted basic. I wasn't sure what to think of the spiced hashbrowns at first but they went very well with the avocado and egg. Their hot chocolate was excellent!
