Walking in I noticed local art hanging on the walls, tables were set with candles (battery operated) and over all atmosphere was very nice.
Wait staff were friendly and attentive even though it quite busy as it was supper time and most of the tables were full.
Our waitress brought a basket with a warm roll and softened butter for each of us & my friend and I shared spinach dip and each had a bowl of seafood chowder. Both were full of flavor & delicious.

So happy I stopped! Georgia went above and beyond for service. Such a great personality. Got to use her cell charger to make sure my phone wouldn't die from taking all the photos of the trip. Had the fish cakes and chowder. Nice and hot. Just wish there was more. The homemade ice cream was a treat. Great recommendation on the Ube. Also had Mexican chocolate, strawberry and coffee. The flight of homemade ice cream for $5.00 was a great bargain. Don't change the pricing;) I'll be back with friends in tow. Thanks for the photos and memories.

Seafood lasagna was incredible and baked lobster and haddock was fantastic too. We'd drive from Halifax just to have the lobster lasagna again! Loved it so much, returned for breakfast! Fishcakes and lobster scramble were both amazing. Flight of homemade ice cream for breakfast? Yes, please. Ube flavour was our favorite. Service was also top!

Lovely lunch with friends. We were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The food was delicious and we were treated to a sample of their upcoming special, oysters and scallops! Certainly going back for a full serving as it left us all wanting more. How lucky we are to have such a great restaurant on the island!

Fantastic food and friendly staff!

My boyfriend is a big lobster fan and loved the lobster dinner + I had the lobster dip with nachos which was equally delicious 😋

We had originally planned to go to a seafood restaurant just north of this area, but decided instead to drive a little further south and we’re so happy we did!

Lots of lobster options.
They make their own ice cream and offer a flight. You get to choose 4 flavours.
Nice view of the water. Clean and very friendly.

Our waitress, Janaia, was very attentive, kind, and knew the menu well. And, she makes a mean Caesar ;) 10/10

Took my mom and her friend visiting from far away and we were treated like royalty and the food (all of it) was just incredible. Would absolutely recommend and will most certainly return.

An absolute pleasant surprise. We had no lunch destination in our plans and came upon The Salt Banker.

Food (lobster Mac and Fried Clams). Were outstanding, along with the service and building. Great experience, start to finish.

A fantastic restaurant in Clarks Harbour that is a must go if staying close by.
The staff were very attentive, quick, and knowledgeable. We ordered the lobster stuffed mushrooms, lobster melt, and lobster Mac and cheese and holy smokes. By far the best meal I’ve had in a long time. The lobster stuffed mushrooms were a great portion for a starter, they do not skimp on the lobster meat in both the melt and Mac and cheese. Couldn’t recommend enough and will stop again on our next trip through.

Someone I met in Pubnico at Dennis Point suggested I try this place for excellent food and they were sure right about that! As well, the wine list is exquisite. I had a Nova Scotia Seyval I had not tried before and it was wonderful.
Also as many people have mentioned, the home-made ice cream is worth the drive!
Also, I had gone there thinking I would get some writing done, but I had friendly conversation from beginning to end! First the manager (who is world-travelled like me and we had tons to talk about ) and then the server (also very interesting) and then three lobsterbusinessguys from Cape Sable Island, Scotland, and Maine. It was super-interesting to me to learn that there are lobster boats in Maine and Scotland that have better safety than our lobster boats here, they are enclosed with a door for the traps, to prevent fishers falling off the back of the boat into the sea. I really appreciated those guys letting me join their table and conversation and I look forward to seeing who I meet next time!
I had been feeling kind of bummed out about the "fried food eaten in idling car" culture around here and this restaurant really lifted my spirits. A real gem.
Also, they've managed to make a pretty view by building a patio, even though you can't see the sea, it feels uplifting.

We had a great experience at this little gem of a restaurant. They allowed our dogs to relax with us on the patio while we enjoyed an amazing meal. Even brought out a tub of water for them. The food was delicious. The dressing for the banker salad.. amazing! And the amount of lobster on the lobster roll was incredible. Very friendly staff and an overall exceptional experience. Easy 5 star from me! Can't wait to go back!
