Pêches et Poivre from sweet to savoury

I love this wonderful Almonte shop. I generally go in for 1 item and miraculously find 6 other must-haves! The service is friendly and very helpful. Few years ago, I purchased 6 super-sized tea towels and used them to recover dining room chairs on an antique set. Every kitchen linen in my home is from Peche et Poivre, along with many, many other items. If you are looking for something different, they probably have it! Oh, and the lemon curd from England - oh my!!

The owners are always friendly and welcoming, and dedicated to providing excellent customer service in English and in French. Their selection of cheeses, specialty oils and vinegars, kitchen wares, cards, and surprising finds is varied, fresh, and always top quality. Don't miss this place!

This terrific shop offers a lovely variety of kitchen gadgets (my weakness) food items, local cheeses, linens and so much more. A great place for gifts and treats for yourself. The owners are welcoming and knowledgable. A fabulous part of Almonte's wonderful down town.

choose, and perfect as a reason to visit Almonte. There is a great variety of gourmet foods with unusual flavour combinations. And the cheese- oh, the cheese, each one better than the next- chosen with care and discernment.
At each turn, the distraction of gift items: table linens, artistic cutting boards, kitchen gadgets and more.
Staff is knowledgeable about the products, helpful with suggestions about uses, pairings, etc., and clearly enjoy what they do with and for all who enter. Bonus: prices for several items better than in Ottawa.

A lovely store run by two lovely ladies. Everything in their store is top quality, and very reasonably priced. The "edibles" are delicacies from local and some from afar; and the assorted kitchen (and home décor) items are plentiful. Please be SURE to check out their fresh/artisan cheeses - YUMMY!!!

A cute little shop! Came here on the weekend to grab some jams for my charcuterie board and they have a great selection!
I picked up a purple fig, caremalized onions and apple butter and all three were so delicious.
Would recommend.

Two of the nicest people you will ever meet, run this lovely store. We particularly love the wide range of Goat and sheep milk cheeses. Rodney and Judith Senior.

Pêches et Poivre prepared 80 holiday boxes to be delivered to team members across the country and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. The boxes were beautifully packaged and assembled, and the assortment of local goods they selected were all delicious. Sandra was a pleasure to work with on all of the logistical issues and was very accommodating of our requests.

Obsessed with this store and wanted to buy absolutely everything. Noticed a ton of Danica Studios products, probably the most extensive collection I’ve seen lately. Will definitely be back to pick up more goods :)

Gourmet foods offered include excellent Quebec and Ontario cheeses, and Seed to Sausage charcutterie. A wide selection of spice blends and sauces and jams are on offer. I bought a sampler pack of Almonte-made Hummingbird chocolate. There's a great selection of giftware, mugs, cards, and napkins. Various cooks tools and gadgets are also for sale.

If you come to Almonte, you must visit here. Locally sourced delicious cheeses (free samples), kitchen gadgets (helpful ones) and really unique local food products. I always get gift baskets done here and they do an amazing job. On top of it all the owners are friendly and know their products. You can also get Almonte's award winning chocolate there.

Pêche et poivre is the highlight of the sweet and charming town of Almont. It is full of beautiful and unique items you’ll never see anywhere else. From stricking wood work to quaint dishes, delicious cheeses and of course the chocolate... not overspending is definitely a challenge! There are always new things to discover!
The owners are very warm, welcoming and extremely friendly!

Delightful and delicious array of savoury and sweet gourmet and artsy-cuisine related items, local and international. From cheese club to glassware, always have what I need. And Lise and Sandra are always so helpful and supportive of community causes.

This store is a gem. Even before I moved to Almonte, I'd drive to the town to visit the store. I always find great food items that I can't find anywhere else.
