Wild Oak Cafe

Wild Oak Cafe is a small bistro and coffee house located in Armstrong BC. The cafe's young chef/owner started the restaurant right out of high school. All I can say is wow! The food there is humble but unique. I walk into the bistro and I am met by busy but cheerful clerks and each time I ask the chef... What do you suggest? Today it was a lemon white chocolate scone. Her recipes
are often her own creations and the ingredients are fresh and rich... There is often a delicate hint of something special to what she makes. Her breakfast and lunch menu is simple but unique. Baked oatmeal! Autumn wrap. The wrap is not just smashed together. Each ingredient is placed carefully so that the tastes blend in your mouth. You can actually taste what is in it! I wish this young entrepreneur good fortune!

Currently enjoying the most exceptional customer service experience in the North Okanagan, paired with a Cookie Butter Latte and a Harvest Apple Salad. The latte came by recommendation of a team member and is made to perfection. When it comes to the salad, it is packed with so much flavour, I wish I ate it slower! Attention to detail is 12/10! The customer service provided by the two staff members on today stands out from the rest, making it a joy to witness their interactions with everyone in the cafe. Can’t wait to come back.

Adorable ambience. Service is fantastic. Friendly and patient with our extensive order. The Thousand Sun lattes for the Bloom Sunflower Festival were delicious. One hot and one iced. 10/10 on the new cardamom syrup. The Rosemary Gouda wrap was a balanced delight. All of the flavours complimented each other. The Peach Blueberry Danish filling I'd eat with a spoon. If you're passing through Armstrong, this cafe is worth a visit.

Amazing food and service, busy on farmers market days. Takes longer to get food those days cause the line up is out the door. Highly recommend and I always get food from here when I’m in Armstrong.

When you first walk in you are greeted by the smiling faces of one of the incredible staff members. The food is fantastic, I would highly recommend any one of the scones expecialy the peach one! When your sitting down enjoying your magnificent scone there is a gentle background music playing that is just perfect. Really enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend to anyone passing thru!

My favorite place to get coffee when I am up from the coast visiting my parents. Their Latte is one of the best I have had. The atmosphere is great for coffee meet ups and the food is also great!

Absolute gem in the Okanagan, the ladies are always so lovely, excellent drinks and the BEST food and baked goods! If I could stop by here every day I would! I have a toddler and have found them to be the most kid friendly cafe between SA-Vernon! Highly recommend, they have some kids toys in the back corner too which is always a nice touch!

We had 2 mocha coffees with oat milk that were sooo good and highly recommend the blackcurrant bagel with pistachio cream 😋 👌

A beautiful place to visit for lunch, with a menu offering locally sourced ingredients from the Okanagan valley. I had a delicious gluten free wrap in the shade and the fresh flowers everywhere are a lovely touch. Great coffee menu!

We found this place on the way out of Vernon and were wry pleased. The staff were all very pleasant and the small snack we shared was scrumptious!!

Best Service in town! Amazing coffee, cute atmosphere and always super welcoming. They have recently added some new food and great baked good. Also don't miss out on the awesome Events they have on Thursday Nights and always adding new stuff.

I love their Chai lattes and gingerbread cookies! They are usually pretty busy and only 1-2 workers at a time, and still do great.

Cute little cafe with a delicious variety of paninis, wraps, salads and breakfast foods. Hot drinks and cold drinks too.

We did not have much for food. I can say the beverages are fantastic. We are visiting from out of town and were welcomed with open arms. My daughter has work to do for school and we had so much trouble accessing internet. This cafe allowed us to work for a few hours and were so kind. Thank you for helping to build our child's future.

Super friendly, caring and genuine. I from out of town and generally consume copious amounts of coffee. I was delighted to see that a proper barista is in town. But when I ask for my go to Cortado, no luck not on the menu. But the staff were very eager to give to give it a go. Surprisingly on the first attempt they nailed it. A perfect amount of creamy milk and espresso. The food was great too. Avalon 3.5% 😜

You can tell I was hungry and I didn't leave anything behind - that says a lot about taste and freshness - best part travelling in small town is you get great fresh food - staff is super friendly and you can relax enjoy the soft music

Over the moon to find a cafe of this calibre in a small town. From the European/International atmosphere, to the INCREDIBLE coffee (possibly some of the best I've had in my life, and I've been to Paris, Amsterdam, Italy, etc, and live in New Zealand where the coffee standards are much higher), I can't rave about this place enough. Great pastries too.
After a small chat with the owner I learned they do it for the community, which is lovely. Just enough bustle of other customers to give it "all the vibes". Check out the sweet, quiet, sunny patio out the back. Will be back, tomorrow most likely. 1000% yum.
