The Garden Stand - Chef Adam Brenner

We booked Adam to cater our rehearsal dinner this past summer and it was the best decision ever. From the very beginning, Adam was easy to communicate with and worked with me to create a menu that would satisfy the various dietary restrictions we had. The food was delivered on time and was piping hot and oh, so delicious. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about our food that night. It was so great to receive a super delicious meal while supporting a local business. Thank you Adam & team!

Adams food shop has such a wonderful variety of fresh & frozen meals, soups, snacks, and desserts (dangerous really). His team put together some platters for our wedding party back in July 2023 and everyone was so impressed. Vegetarian Springrolls, Smoked Chicken Cranberry Salad Wraps, Veggies with Roasted Garlic Hummus, Fresh Fruit and Energy Bites. The AB gang took very good care of us for the morning of, so If you're planning any kind of celebration make sure to lock in Adam Brenner ASAP. You won't regret it.

Fresh, healthy and delicious tasting apps, salads, meals, desserts, preserves and gifts. Great variety of options for different diets. Main course meals for one or two people are well priced for the quality and portion size. These can be purchased fresh or frozen. I have loved everything I have bought from here. My favourites include fresh made focaccia bread, chicken mulligatawny soup, coconut curry chicken dinner, peanut butter balls, mango and passionfruit sorbet.

We booked chef Adam for our wedding and we couldn’t have made a better choice. Of all the vendors I had contact with for our wedding, Adam was by far the easiest and most stress-free to deal with. He was communicative from day 1. I gave him a general idea of the type of meal we were thinking about serving to our guests and within about 30 minutes he had a mouthwatering menu laid out for me. Our guests were absolutely raving about the meal. Most people (if not all) went up for a second helping. I highly recommend chef Adam and his team. You will not be disappointed. Had an engagement party, that we needed a lot of food for. Reached out to these guys to have catering done. There was an amazing assortment of foods and combinations that made it perfect for a quick grab and eat. Highly recommend checking out these guys.

Looking for a quick appetizer ? Grab a container of curry chickpea salad and warm up some naan bread and voila! Elegant appetizer ! Garden stand is perfect for preserves, prepared meals, frozen desserts and more! Also gluten and dairy free options! And last but not least - amazing staff !!

Working with Adam and his team was the BEST decision we made for our wedding day. Adam was professional, friendly, responsive and supportive every step of the way. The food was local, fresh, and perfectly warm by the time it hit the tables!! Guests constantly came up to us throughout the night telling us how amazing the food was. "The most delicious wedding food I've ever had" - Quoted from a foodie friend! Whether you're having a party of 10 or a wedding of 120 people, I highly recommend putting that deposit down before he gets booked up!

Chef Adam and his team catered our wedding this month and the food was incredible! I wanted a meal that my guests would love and remember and they definitely provided that. Everybody was raving about how good their meal was, especially the maple vinaigrette dressing on the salad and the scalloped potatoes! Thank you for an incredible meal!

We love The Garden Stand and are thrilled with having had Adam cater our wedding. We did a lot of searching for caterers and were continually underwhelmed with the flavours or selection that was out there. When we tried Adam's meals we were so impressed by the passion and skill that is behind everything that he creates. We really enjoyed working with Adam as he took a lot of stress out of the whole catering process. He is confident, competent and reassuring (which is what this type A bride needed). He was also great with communication. Adam went above and beyond to make sure that all of the dietary needs of our guests were met, really exceeding all expectations. Everyone loved the meals and our day went smoothly. Wish we could give 6 stars. :)

Can't say enough good things! Adam catered our wedding and every detail was perfect - from communication and preparation leading up to the day, through to the actual wedding event. Adam was easy to work with and helping decide our menu, and we had full confidence in his management of the day. He had every detail sorted and runny smooth on our wedding day. And the food, oh the food, SO so good! Our guests were raving all night and we're still receiving compliments! Highly recommend! And we also visited by his store in New Hamburg The Garden Stand and continue to be amazed by how tasty all the food he sells there is! Glad there's somewhere we can keep going back to have Adam's cooking!

I made the drive from Kitchener to New Hamburg because of a recommendation and tasting sample from a client. I'm so glad I did. I was greeted by a friendly and very helpful staff person. I purchased the salmon asparagus bisque which made a perfect dinner with some crusty bread. No watery broth passing itself off as bisque ... this had generous chunks of tasty salmon in every bite! I also purchased the smoked chicken cranberry salad. Half a small container on some crackers made a DELICIOUS and filling lunch today. I picked up two prepared dinners for the weekend (when I have to work late) and, after what I've tasted already, am really looking forward to trying. Really can't say enough good things about what I've tried so far. I'll being going back for certain!

Upon meeting Chef Adam I knew he was very professional and passionate about his food. He welcomed my husband and I into his lovely store for a meet and greet followed by a tasting of our wedding menu. Everything was absolutely delicious, you could immediately tell his ingredients were fresh. Since all of this happened before Covid we unfortunately had to postpone our wedding a few times. Chef Adam was more than willing to accommodate every step of the way. Having tight restrictions Chef Adam found a way to still be able to cater our intimate wedding in Mississauga by offering a drop off service instead of a plated option. The food was PHENOMENAL. We had more than enough for the number of guests and many of them made sure to go back for seconds! Chef Adam came up with a cold strawberry lavender soup which we had served during dessert and it was a HUGE hit. Guests were disappointed when we ran out. Overall Chef Adam and Chef Kyle + staff did an amazing job preparing and delivering the food and we will definitely be stopping by the shop when we are in town. Thank you !!

This review is long overdue! Chef Adam and his team always make the most delicious, real (mostly healthy) food. Highlights are the smoked chicken salad, tomato soup, mulligatawny soup, and energy balls. 10/10!

While I've never had the pleasure of trying the food from Chef Adam Brenner, it was recommended to me when I was looking for freezer meals to gift new parents. Ordering online was easy and the meals were delivered the same day. The new parents were very happy and said the food was excellent! I'll definitely order again!

Adam Brenner and his team catered our wedding this past weekend. We were absolutely blown away by the quality of the food and the exceptional service that we received. Adam was so easy to work with - he worked within our budget and took time to understand exactly what we wanted. Many of our guests told us that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. I would confidently recommend Adam Brenner to anyone looking for great service and delicious food.

The food here is fantastic. So great to be able to grab fresh, delicious food ready to eat (or bake). Make sure to also check out the award winning salsa and other condiments. I have not eaten anything that I haven’t enjoyed from the Garden Stand, all fabulous.

Today was the first time that I picked up a slice of dessert. It’s not something I typically think of when I go to the Garden Stand. (That is no longer true, I will always look for dessert at the Garden Stand now).
I was saving the dessert for after dinner, but wanted to try a quick bite at lunch. If I used the abbreviation OMG, I would use it here.
The delicious Pavlova did not make it for me to enjoy after dinner…it did not last longer than 2 minutes after I had the first bite. If marrying a dessert was legal, I would serve my husband with divorce papers today and beg for the recipe.

What an amazing chef Adam is. He was the talk of our party. Everyone loved all the different dishes he served. A true professional. Would highly recommend Chef Adam Brenner! Thank you for all the hard work you and your staff put in to make our party a hit.

I absolutely love the fish and chips night at this little gem of a place in downtown New Hamburg near the Nith River. This place is the epitome example of "over deliver" - with generous portions and the best fries I think I've ever had. Not sure what their secret is :) Their cute store has unique offerings in addition to all the wonderful food ready for take home and delectable desserts. We bought some home made bath bombs while we waited! I can't wait for the upcoming schnitzel night in a couple weeks. And I really hope they do the Valentine's menu again this winter! Thank you Chef Brenner for making "date night at home" possible.
