Princess Cafe

Cafe attached to an independent theatre and perched on a busy uptown square where one can sit and people watch. Sandwiches are really yum - we tried the California Veggie. They have the theatre and an annex to sit next door. Definitely a Waterloo gem this one! 💎

Great place to enjoy a nice coffee and chat with friends!

I have visited this cafe a couple of times and everytime I went, the staffs are very nice and responsive. The environment is very clean, pretty and comfortable. They serve all kinds of coffee and teas (they have many kinds of tea :) Any tea lovers would love this place). Their coffee and tea are so nice, it's worth trying! However, I sometimes like some pastries to go with my coffee/tea but they have limited pastries or none this time I went to the cafe. Overall, they have really good coffee and it is definitely worth trying!

Great place with so many vegetarian options! The menu is about 50/50 vegetarian and meat-based. Well decorated, cute, and well priced. Both meat-based and vegetarian paninis are delightful. Get ready to be embarrassed through, as both of us looked quite foolish trying to keep our ingredients between the bread, lol! Street parking is often limited.

Good food. The hot chocolate was on point. We missed the Italian hot chocolate since it was sold out .
The California veggie paini was good and easy to eat.

Great cafe in a great location uptown. The food is delicious, I especially enjoy getting a panini with a side soup. The place also has a really neat local beer selection that you can’t get at LCBO! Overall it has a really fun and friendly vibe. Definitely recommend

They offer a good selection of coffees and bakeries at an affordable price.

There are two seating areas one inside the coffee and the other is opposite to it, so in term of space is enough.

The Cafe’ is a part of Princess Twin Cinema which is a nice place to watch classic movies at an affordable price ($9 for students).

Anyways, this is a perfect place to explore the Canadain cultural aspect in Waterloo.

Delicious, homemade, made fresh sandwiches and literally a thousand different local beers to choose from! Great spot for lunch! Nice little patio but beware of the wasps right now! We had to sit in our car they were so bad! They also made a special sandwich for my daughter who is very picky! Highly recommend and would go back regularly if we lived here!!

Stopped in for a quick lunch with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I had their sandwich of the week, a Rueben, and it was fantastic! It was ultra cheesy and creamy on account of a delicious homemade creamy coleslaw, stuffed with meat and on a delicious crispy multigrain. This was a great sandwich in my opinion. I’d love to try some of their others on the menu. They have a great bottle shop serving up a variety of craft beers not available at the LCBO, it is definitely worth checking out for a sandwich, a coffee, and/or a craft beer. My pal had the soup of the day and also thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great made fresh soups, sandwiches, and salads. My Uptown Waterloo 'go-to' for lunch. Also love having a light dinner there before a movie at The Princess Twin!

sidewalk beer shop (which is in princess cafe) sells my favourite beers, all of them, even though i don't drink anymore, which is something i'm quite sad about. fortunately they have some good non-alcoholic options as well. that aside, i love princess cafe and i met my girlfriend there so i am kind of biased but the big marc sandwich is a delightful postmodern take on the big mac, i also love the curried tuna sandwich and it was the first time i had a tuna sandwich. all of the sandwiches are great. the soups are typically great as well. the pasta salad is also fire but figuratively and not literally as there is no element of spice at play. marc is a sick dude.

Had the Madame Decembre today and it was delicious! Staff were a great team, always smiling and friendly. Atmosphere is relaxing and service is efficient and quick. I always come back! :)

Got some coffees and tea here. Everything was great and the staff were pleasant. Wish they had more tea options but other than that everyone was happy.

Great little cafe. I was traveling through Waterloo and stopped here as I was getting peckish.

Inside of a quaint little 2 screen cinema, this cafe offers health conscious travelers a relaxing respite.

Great coffee, and great food.

I opted for the broccoli and dill soup as well as a beet salad.

I upgraded to turkey AND extra bacon for the extra $2.50 each.

I chased my lovely low carb lunch with a cup of 12 oz coffee - escaping another bout of hunger for a total of $20 after tip.

I like to come here because everything is affordable at below $10 even for breakfast. When I visited today I forgot that the portion is rather small for someone just finished an intense spin class. Delicious bread from Grain Harvest. Their menu is great. It has been my go to if I feel like eating out. Grilled cheese, paninis, breakfast sandwiches are all tasty. Oh and I LOVE their Italian hot cocoa! It's a must try, something not commonly served in cafes!

This is a wonderful cafe to spend time in. I've had their California veggie sandwich and it is really good. Also had their hazelnut latte and it is one of the better lattes you will find in Waterloo region. I definitely look forward to spending more time here, especially in the winter ( I'm pretty sure it's going to be cozy ) .

Great tasting latte, and great tasting food. Yam wich in particular was the most delicious tasting thing I’ve had in a while. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Amazing selection of beer as well.
