Solace On Turnberry Boutique Hotel

I had never been to Brussels or even Huron county, but Solace was a perfect place to stay for a couple days and check out the history there. And the rooms were fantastic - very clean and modern, despite preserving the historical beauty of the building

If you are looking for a unique yet beautiful place to stay then I would highly recommend Solace on Turnberry. The history within this building has been preserved in many ways which adds to the uniqueness of the suites. We stayed in the King suite and it had everything we needed, was beautifully decorated, the bed was amazingly comfortable, well supplied and the grand doors upon entering the suite was very cool, along with the fireplace (although we didn't need it!) to name a few historic features. Kathy was very responsive and great to deal with. All around, it was a fantastic experience and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of the most historic buildings in downtown Brussels called the "Leckie Block". Named for it's builder from the 1800's, Mr. Leckie was one of the first entrepreneurs in this area. He built this block to have his own bank and lawyers offices. Today, a lovely gazebo park is adjacent to the building that houses a spa, gift shop and 3 beautiful boutique suites.
Parking and access to the suites is in the back. We received a message with the door code. Stayed one night in the very spacious King Suite which was a great price for the area. We went to the Blyth Festival. Location would be too far for Grand Bend/beach or Goderich unless a whole day. Spotless - with a very comfortable bed, wifi, coffee and ginger tea. Quiet village has limited food options. Gas station does great breakfast all day. Beautiful architecture and homes and worth a walk around. Recommended!

Our family of 4 (2 adults & 2 teenagers) stayed to visit my mum and Grandmother. We stayed in the Ainsley Suite which had lots of room. Although 2 double beds, my 12 year old decided to sleep on the floor (can’t blame him for not wanting to share with older brother even for one night). Cathy got us set up with extra blankets and duvet to create a comfy bed. We watched a Netflix movie & settled in. It was great. Continental Breakfast was just right. We only saw other guests briefly in morning. The only small downsides are bathroom outside the suite requiring walk through common space but it didn’t cause an issue. No one was around. The back entrance stairs are metal. Sturdy but maybe concern for mobility or fear of height issues. Overall - great stay!!

Our family had a lovely stay at Solace on Turnberry! We attended a wedding at Four Winds Barn across the road so the location of this hotel was perfect. We stayed in the Ainsley Suite with two double beds. The room was very large and accommodated our family of 4. Kathy was extremely welcoming upon our arrival and showed us everything we needed to know. She even made us freshly baked banana chocolate chip muffins which were delicious! A bin of toys were in the room for our two children to play with. The attention to detail in our stay was nothing short of amazing. We would highly recommend this hotel for your stay. Six of us stayed here for a night while attending a wedding in own. The rooms and common spaces were perfect for what we needed. Quiet and relaxing. The bathrooms are all newly done with a modern touch. There was also delicious welcome donuts and muffins on arrival. A fridge stocked with juice, milk, jams, and yogurt. There was also bagels and cereal for breakfast in the morning. This all went a long way in making our brief stay very enjoyable.

We stayed here last night as were attending a wedding in Brussels.
Our stay was lovely, so cozy, so quaint and so clean.
Couldn’t ask for anything more, we will definitely stay here the next time we are in the area!
