Waba Cottage Museum and Gardens

The museum was closed. but its nice small place to visit on long drive day kinda trip. the parking is free. there is a place for boat parking just next to the water and a little ramp to help load. there is outdoor washroom. we just sat there under a tree for picnic, someone was playing saxophone near one of the home so it was nice and relaxing picnic.

Nice quiet place to visit, with a museum and a few buildings to explore. There is a picnic area and a view of the lake. You can also walk among the flowers and herbs in the various garden installations around the park. I do recommend it!

The museum was closed when were visited but the grounds were interesting to explore nonetheless. Nicely manicured and lots of history to see even if you're just walking about. A friend and I visited as part of our adventure checking out places listed (including this one) in the "150 Unusual Things To See In Ontario" book.

A place you will want to bring children and adults for a history lesson of the region. A beautiful site to hang a picnic and relax afterwards. Parking is free and there is also a boat launch into White Lake with daily and seasonal rates.

Stumbled upon this nicely kept museum with 5 acres of gardens, beautifully restored buildings, and the curator was very knowledgeable and informative for adults and children.
