Nuthatch Books

I visited this beautiful little bookstore yesterday. The first thing I noticed was the relaxing scent of lavender. I was quickly greeted by one of the owners who happily offered assistance. The store has a mix of new and used books. There was a really nice selection of children’s books and a surprising variety of fiction and non-fiction for a small shop. The store is clean, tidy and shows pride of ownership. I look forward to my next visit.

The owner is super helpful and knowledgeable about her wares! Her staff are equally lovely and the selection is varied between both new and used so you will definitely find something you're either looking for or didn't realize you were looking for!

Nuthatch is a magical place. Though it is a smaller space, the owner is at your beck to help order a book in, if it is not already on the shelves. Truly wonderful shop.

Nuthatch is one of the hidden gems of the area. A cozy feeling book store, it is large on value as the selection is always carefully curated. Without falling into the Indigo business plan of carrying 10 copies of only the most popular books, Nuthatch tends to carry a greater breadth of material, most of which are some of the best books in that subject (regardless whether they have been discovered by the mainstream markets yet). They also have a great section on alternative housing, green living, homesteading, etc. which is a welcome find.

It is a small, cozy book store with beautiful wooden shelves. Just about any book they do not have in stock can be ordered, which they have done for me numerous times over the years, and at prices comparable to Amazon. Unlike some larger book stores in big cities, Nuthatch Books does not have a café incorporated into it, but a few doors down there is The Charteuse Moose to satisfy the craving that books might induce for caffeine.

A lovely book store nestled inside of the little town of 100 Mile. The owner is even lovelier. She deserves every bit of success she accomplishes.
