This is a great little loop outside of Sherwood Park. Just a FYI, no bikes are permitted or horses. I would recommend this trail if you like some what flat ground with a few tree roots showing but also secluded to most people. I plan to come back one summer brings out the green.
Pros:
- Good Parking.
- Lots of small wildlife.
- Trail was not overgrown or extremely narrow.
Cons:
- I expected a lake/pond at Olive Grey Viewpoint from satellite view but it was just a marsh.
- No garbage cans throughout the walk but there was also no garbage on the trail.

What a gorgeous area to walk.. Very accessible and absolutely gorgeous in the fall. Great place to take family photos or do photoshoots. Not that much parking so we had to park on the side of the road/highway but not a major issue.

There is busier than I thought, if you want some quiet time for yourself, maybe its not a right place for you. You will pump into some people, but not too bad. I went there in weekdays, I think there will be much busier during weekends. View and atmosphere are pretty awesome, with a loop of trails; also some horses trails, and for dogs are leash-on.

I didn't know about this place or exactly what it was, it's just a small parking lot connected to a day trail, lots of benches, lots of marshes and ponds. Beautiful, even while not yet green. Very active birds and squirrels. Great smell, just a fantastic place to go if you're in the area. Take the family, the dog, whatever. It's easy, clean and safe for all.

A great walk that is wide enough for a double stroller. Nice tall mature trees with very friendly birds. There are some hills on the south side of the trail.

Fantastic having this area so close to Sherwood Park.
A couple of quarters of woodland that have never been cleared or farmed.
It has a portion of the old original winding Edmonton Trail running through it, which follows the trail made by indigenous peoples prior to the arrival of settlers.

Wonderful trails, well maintained, good parking and close to the city. Great place for kids to see birds. Outhouse at the entry.

Very nice and easy walking trails through some forested areas, some small birds followed us most of the way and got very close to us. If you bring bird seed I bet they would eat out of your hand!

I recommend if you want to get outdoors and see some small wildlife!

These hungry little chick-a-dees will follow you on your walk, swooping down at anything resembling food. 😂 Such a pleasurable walk. I can only imagine how beautiful it looks in the summer!

Unexpected paradise, strolling along trails amongst the beautiful tree covered rolling hills. Sitting areas throughout, dog's on leash ( best bring your poop bags), swamp areas. Parking
lot is limited, definitely could use more parking spaces. Worth the visit, very pleasant, peaceful loop walk.

Great spot to take the kids- easy loop and not many steep spots. Lots of wildlife (and mosquitoes- bring bug spray). We love going in the early spring or fall to avoid bugs.

A popular shorter distance walking trail for families and casual walkers of every skill level. Well-maintained paths, a nice little getaway from the hustle & bustle of urban life. It is easily accessible and a very short drive from Sherwood Park.

Ray point is washed out so bring boots, oodles of mosquitoes so bring raid but overall worth the nearby hike.

Absolutely stunning little area off the side of the road with a nice roundabout trail that doesn't take too long to complete. Fall time is amazing but spring and summer were lovely as well. Will be back again and again to enjoy this quiet little spot.

Great for a quick nature walk; it's completely treed in, with lots of squirrels and finches. The loop is about 2.7km and 35 minutes with a couple small hills. Hiking boots are recommended due to mud throughout the year. The entrance has an outhouse, plus a sign/board with lots of lost car keys hanging on it.

Now that I work from home, I come here once or twice a week for a walk at lunch. Great way to recharge.

Fun loop great for the family... My kids enjoyed the summer stroll and long enough for the adults to feel the exercise. Allot of shade from the trees in the summer and we had a fun time sliding down the hills in the winter... Winter also had birds who flew down to get seeds from your hand which was a really fun activity for the kids...

Would highly recommended as a basic, short yet stunning and peaceful walk through a forest. Path is all dirt, with bridges and benches and look out points. Doesn't seem like it's a busy location.

Also there is a perfect spot for a campfire.
