This sobeys in particular, it's produce departments manager, takes action to fight first world food waste which is essential in these times and always! inflation has gone up and people are going hungry while stores make record profits and record food waste.Instead of throwing these mushrooms out, he sold them to me half off so I could finish the dehydration process manually. The mushrooms were nice and dry (shrivled), and after peeling and stringing, they were saved from the landfill! Thanks for not being greedy as people claim groceries stores and selling them to me even though you did say you don't do it normally. I hope you can continue to do this for others since dried mushrooms last a long time and it is sad to throw them to the garbage. As long as they aren't wet and they keep dry you can always peel and string and dry them. Thank you for making a difference.

Great store reminds me of family as the staff treat you like that. I have shopped at other stores, and they are corporate staff don't ingage with you. Sobeys is family owned, and their fresh goods, bakery, seafood, meat, and dely are as fresh as you can get. Highly recommend this store to everyone 👌

I found the customers to be really friendly. Probably because they enjoy shopping at this store . It was a nice experience to shop once again at my favorite store at this end of town. The only negative aspect of the visit was the cart. When I entered the store, there were quite a few carts available, probably cleaned and ready for use. There was a bottle of cleaner and paper towel at hand if I wanted to clean my cart before using it. I took cart from the group of carts, (not cleaning it), and proceeded through the store. But when I was done I noticed there was no one there to clean the used cart and , since I didn't want to mix an unclean cart with the others, I left it sitting in the open area so people would know it was used. The problem is that there are people who wouldn't think about keeping the clean and unclean carts separated and when done shopping would put their cart back where they got it ( among the clean ones ). Other than that it was a great time shopping at the store. Nice and clean . And lastly but most importantly, the staff were friendly and , if I didn't live where I do, I would be shopping there every week. Thank you.

Great place with high quality items. Specially fruits and vegetables are very fresh. Prices of almost all the grocery items are reasonable as well

I'm all about service. This isn't really related to the grocery end but while shopping I asked a young staff member Jessica if there were any boxes available as I needed them for moving. Instead of leaving them for me to come back for she went out of her way to find me in the store. All the time with a cheerful smile. That's what service is all about. I didn't get her last name but she is an asset to your store.

Seems to be very well stocked . Small and convenient , but busy . Enjoyable experience. Small town feeling .

Always loved a Sobeys store. No complaints about this one. Clean, great bakery, meals to go, deli, produce, meat, fish, a pharmacy....it is like a bunch of stores on one. Lots of helpful and friendly staff....clean washrooms. You can't go wrong.
