Nice spot for peace and quiet! Friendly people! Was able to park my camper and visit the sites in the area without worrying about my camper. Beautiful view!

3.5 rating. We stayed the long weekend. At first glance this Campground looks disappointing but it is the opposite of that. If you love nature and peace and quiet this is the place for you. The host is very friendly. Electricity and water, perfect. You will be camping right next to the river with firewood waiting for a lovely fire. The river is tidal so you can walk on the floor and then watch it rise. You can actually sit out during the day and the bugs are minimal and at night the fireflies are amazing. We have a motorhome so did not need to use their facilities. They have a nice ring toss set up but if you have your own games bring them as there is a huge field you can use. There isn't a dump station yet but we're told it's coming. No wifi but cell phone reception is just fine. The road coming in is 2.7kms and rough so just go slow and you'll be fine. There is a nice little restaurant 5.5km away from the actual campground if you want a nice meal, ice cream, a beach there and a great little craft/gift store too. We rode our bicycles there.

It is a very basic ammenities camping spot. It is remote and isolated, which was perfect for us. We were the only ones at the campground during the night we spent there. The showers had hot water and there was electricity the toilet building. I recommend the place for its peace, but be aware that amenities are minimal. I did not see the interior of the cabins, but the outside have seen better days a while ago.

Quiet and nice scenery. The cabins could use some updating. If you are looking for a private location with basic amenities, I would recommend. Was nice to have electricity and running water with showers available

The road in was horrible, not even enough room if you met another camper in some spots. We didn't stay, it looks like no one has stayed for a while. 3 kms of potholes just to turn around and leave.

Friendly owner but the campground is in seriously bad shape. I can handle basic amenities but there is garbage and old junk lying all over the place. It needs some serious attention. We turned around and left because it was that bad.

Called ahead and stipulated we were on a motorcycle...no one mentioned there was a 3km gravel and sand path to get to the campground that was worse than a motocross trail...the campground is somewhat questionable we saw no other campers...we turned around and went to Oak bay campground...
