Am interesting large park. If you want walk around the whole park, you can spend 2-3 hours here.

There is not enough some store or cafe nearby where you can buy something

I took someone who has a mild phobia about snakes, and even she enjoyed it. The paths are easy to walk and will take you to the various dens. If one is not busy, it's quite likely another will be very active. We went on the May long weekend, so it was quite busy. We were lucky to find a good parking spot as someone else was just leaving.

If you like snakes, it would be hard to not give this place 5 stars. Trails are well maintained, signage is very informative and well composed, and bathrooms were clean. We saw snakes out at all 4 of the dens despite visiting in the fall on a cool, cloudy day.

Nice place to see the garter snake mate in the snake den. Be prepared to find parking if you go on a weekend but it shouldn't be too bad.

Narcisse snakedens is great place to visit. There are 1000s of snakes piled up. There are 4 snakepits, and you have to walk about 30 minutes if you want to see them all. I recommend that you wear good shoes so that you don’t feel tired. It is best to visit the place during really hot weather if you want to see lots of snakes. These snakes are not dangerous, you can easily hold them in your hand. There will be some snakes out of the snakepits, walking around your feet. Don’t be scared, these are harmless. There are people in the park who you can ask questions. There are also picnic tables in the start of the parkway. It’s best to have sunglasses and sunscreen because you will have to walk all the way. Also, take water with you. If weather is cool, there are not a lot of 🐍 snakes out.

A spur of a moment May 14, 2016 road took me to NarcA spur of a moment May 14, 2016 road took me to Narcisse Snake Den. This was on my bucket list & pumped I even held a few snakes!!

It was a bit of a drive north west of Winnipeg. I arrive at the town wondering where am I and how much further. No cell service so I could not use Google Map.

I decided to go just a bit further to find the snake den everyone talks about. I parked my car and said to myself here goes nothing. The park is clean and the path is wide along with a gorgeous walk breathtaking. I hear someone said dad has one. I really wanted to handle the snake. I asked if I could. My heart laid still and no worries at all. I did decide to remove my sun glasses. I quite enjoyed myself and all the four snake dens which were clearly marked. if you look close at some of the foto’s you will see the red marking on the snakes. Along the path I did see two snakes together what look like a chain mating. So cool. Oh there are out houses which one can use. No way I had my fair of snakes grouping up in outsides. Lol

Please please Spring of 2019 take a road trip and enjoy your day. isse Snake Den. This was on my bucket list & pumped I even held a few snakes!!

Super cool family adventure! Out of the four pits, #2 was the busiest. We brought our own food, but there was a hot dog vendor set up that smelt delicious! The outhouses were very clean & totally stocked with toilet paper. And when we left, we only had one tick between all five of us! Highly recommend going on a hot day. Bring sunscreen, hats & bug spray for ticks. The paths are wide enough to bring wagons along, but NO bikes allowed. Worth the trip for sure!

Love going with my family. The best time is around Mother’s Day weekend and the week after. Go when it’s warm out otherwise you won’t see many snakes out. 🐍 There are usually interpreters on hand if you have any questions. Go early as parking is limited, otherwise you’ll end up parking along the highway.

We didn’t see any garter snakes because of the season, but we had a great time walking around.

Nice trail that you can do a few laps around while looking for snakes. A few snake dens provide a really nice viewing point for a dense population of snakes if that is what you are looking for. I enjoyed my time here and am glad parking was free and plentiful. I would visit more often if it was not so far outside of the city. No tickets are needed to enter. Safe for kids. Gravel trail paths, no concrete/cement. You can pick up the snakes if you'd like.

First time going with the kids, the 4th den was by far the most active and I ended up finding this little guy slithering around. The worker that was walking around said they are more active earlier in the day.

Great experience. Park staff are friendly and very informative. The 3km walk to all four snake dens is on a nice gravel path. Check the website for best times to go. Careful the snakes can bite!

The largest gathering of snakes in one place! If visiting during the May breeding season, it is a stop not to be missed in Manitoba. Although understandably not for everyone, this is a natural phenomenon to witness and seeing so many snakes together while not posing a threat to anyone is a surreal experience. Don’t forget to pack water and sunscreen when you go, for the best time to see them will be hot and sunny.

I suggest arriving early as it did get busy by noon.

Parking was easy and it was a nice walk around the site.

Paths are well maintained and you can easily use strollers for the kids or for for someone who has trouble walking, your favorite mobility aid.

There are also some outhouse facilities, and there may be a vendor cooking burgers and dogs.

Definitely a must do even if you are afraid of snakes.

A great motorcycle trip. The twisty roads of hwy 17 was enjoyable and the snakes were fun to play with. There is no entrance fee, just park and waltz in. There are 4 dens and to walk around all of it is 5 km.

Narcisse snakedens is a great place to visit during the summer time and spend a couple of hours. Lots of snakes to see in the 4 snake dens. It is a bit of a walk from one den to another, make sure you dress for the weather and have some water with you.

So worth the drive. Not all the dens were overly active in early June when we arrived but we did find lots of snakes and a few clusters. Easy hike and lots of wow.

There are lots of snakes, lots of parking as well. It's a great place to visit even if the snakes aren't out.
