Came here with my dad in June 2022 and had the time of my life. Our guide, Connor from Ottawa was amazing, and we had lots of fun on the rapids on the Thompson river. Other than the rafting, the experience was fantastic. We played great rounds of Disc Golf and the food was awesome. While the trains can be noisy, it is interesting to learn about the history of the railways, and even cooler to experience it in person. Thanks to Kumsheen for making this such a great experience.

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! From the amazing staff and guides to the actual rafting experience, it's a "bucket list" opportunity NOT to be missed! We stayed in the "tents" on-site and that in itself was lovely, charming, inviting and beyond comfortable! Our experience on the water was incredible! I had NEVER heard our young son EVER swear until we hit our first "hole" and out of nowhere came, "Holy "F"!, no problem, I was just about to say the same expletive!!! Our lunch halfway through the day was SOOOO enjoyable, and needed.... My wife does NOT swim, and she was MORE THAN skeptical about the entire experience, but our guide was SOOO very good and so experienced that she relaxed (even jumped into the river on one of the calm sections, holding onto the tether from the raft) and floated in her life vest for say.......20 seconds, then was pulled back into the boat by our guide as that was enough. :-) OVERALL, I hope that we can experience Kumsheen at least once more in our lifetime. BOTTOMLINE, WE CANNOT RECOMMEND KUMSHEEN RAFTING RESORT & MORE IMPORTANTLY THEIR STAFF FOR A TRULY AMAZING LIFE EXPERIENCE!

Wow. I’ve driven by this area so many times. And now I’ve finally stopped in Lytton and stayed at Kumsheen. Wow. Such a stunning location and Kumsheen, such a beautiful place. The Teepee was a great place to sleep in and the staff…Wow…(there it comes again) The staff were fabulous. Welcoming, friendly, inviting, informative. Not just a drive by, definitely worth a stop.

I would highly recommend both staying here and doing their rafting trip. We did the Legendary Thompson river and it was a blast. Either a family trip or just a friends getaway this is such a fun activity to do with friends and family. Guaranteed to be a good time, and the place has some great amenities to enjoy after your rafting trip. The lunch mid way on the full raft day is also amazing.

This place is fantastic, the rafting tour was absolutely breathtaking and Andrew our guide was great!
The cabins and the tipis are both fantastic to sleep in! The little coffee shop inside is also great!
Our lunch and dinner we had was really good, but the breakfast had room for improvement. The wait time was much longer than we anticipated based on the system where you reserve and don’t order a specific meal. The meal was alright, though everything on the plate was cold by the time it reached us.
Don’t let that deter you from booking an amazing vacation here though! The live music and pool were highlights as well.

I had a blast! Spent the weekend at the resort. Did both paddle and motorboat. They let us bring my giant waterproof boom box onto the motorboat which was awesome I highly recommend music for the ride down. All the staff were helpful and fun. Absolutely no complaints. You won't regret this experience. I can't wait to go again.

I had the most amazing time at Kumsheen!
A beautiful day trip down Thompson River with our amazing guide was something I look forward to experiencing again! From the amazing lunch we had, fascinating stories about the river and breathtaking scenery.
It doesn't end at rafting! The whole facility will leave you in awe!
Thanks Hannah for an amazing time!
I look forward to seeing you next year!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay and paddle raft. The teepees were very comfortable and the resort had all the amenities you need for a nice stay (water stations, showers, ice available for purchase) along with a ton of activities throughout the resort (corn hole and the pool/hot tub were our favourite). The staff were all amazing and it’s clear they are happy and treated well. Connor was an amazing paddle guide, we felt safe and he provided really interesting information about the local area along the way. Would definitely recommend! Will be coming back next year.

Amazing trip! I went with some of my friends & chose to do the 6 hour paddle rafting trip. Great time, planning to go again next summer.
The one tip I would give is to check the temperature if you plan on going. If you plan to stay in a tent or teepee make sure to pack cool clothes.
We went in 35 C and spent most of the time in the pool.
But 5/5 experience and I recommend going.

Absolutely love this resort... It's become our family's happy place!
The rafting never disappoints, and now they include a fantastic lunch with the rafting!
We always treat ourselves to a meal in the restaurant; so nice to have this option!
We've stayed previously in the teepees, and those are outstanding, this time we came in the RV.
And the games!! Every little book you can find some sort of sport or game set up...it's so fun.
And of course the pool... it can get hot in Lytton... The pool is wonderful!

The power rafting was so much fun, and our guide Mary told us lots of cool details along the way. The food tasted great, especially the desserts! Because they are canvas cabins, there are lots of bugs inside and it gets freezing cold in the mornings. However, each cabin has a bit of electricity from the solar panels to charge devices (but not enough to for example power a kettle), and the string of lights inside the cabin makes it super cozy in the evenings!

This is a great little gem. Stayed in a cabin & did a power raft trip. The rafting was a great time with many little sites to see along the way. This is a really awesome family friendly place. The pool & hot-tub is situated with a great view. There’s lots of things to keep everyone busy during the day. Live music at night beside the bar. 100% coming back one day.

Amazing time, never been rafting before. Would highly recommend. Our Guide Zach was very entertaining and engaging. Site is clean, safe, and they have all the amenities needed on a trip. It is a good affordable trip for a family. Very fun mini vacation.

I’ve rafted a few rivers but this was absolutely the best experience. Our accommodations were great! We stayed in a king cabin, which was spacious and very comfortable. The food was very good, served in beautiful setting. We stayed July 14-16. I went power rafting for the full day on Saturday. I’ve never done this before, and wasn’t sure if I didn’t just want to paddle raft instead. I’m so glad I did it! It was awesome, great group of people, and our guide Taija was awesome as well. He was very knowledgeable and funny, with great stories along the river. On Sunday I went paddle rafting for the full day. Our guide was Annie, she was awesome as well, funny with great stories as well. This was a completely different experience, awesome as well but different. The same section of river felt very different. This day was made better, as my daughter was able to join me. Both days we had a great burrito buffet lunch by the river. This is a family founded, owned and operated business, and it makes for a superior experience. After rafting we spent time at the pool/hot tub and bar area. Live music at night with family, new friends and some of the guides and staff made for a great time. I wish I could name everyone individually, but the whole staff at this resort made for a perfect getaway with equal parts fun, excitement, rest. We had the good fortune to meet the family who own the resort, which made it easy to see why this place is so worth a visit. We will be making many return trips, in fact we’re going back mid August.

What a wonderful experience! We weren’t exactly sure what we were in for, as we’re definitely out-of-towners, but we wanted a unique Canadian adventure! Kumsheen did not disappoint. A bit off the beaten path and a tad remote to get to, but so worth it, and a beautiful drive too!

Driving up to the lovely resort entrance and being welcomed by such a warm, friendly and professional crew was just the start. We started with a great lunch, then donned the appropriate attire: wetsuits provided by Kumsheen, and (sunscreen, bathing suits, sturdy water shoes) and set out on a short bus ride to a sandy beach a ways up the Thompson River. At the raft entry location we spent a bit of time learning about the what-ifs and how to be cautious and give reverence to the mighty water.

Elliott and his knowledgeable colleagues really go above and beyond to make you feel safe and that you’re in great hands! Quite literally, the guide has to understand and know things, that well…we just don’t know! That level of comfort is hard to achieve and it was a great reassurance for someone like me, a gal who likes to be in control at all times. Well done!

Riding those waves and feeling the unpredictable intensity of Mother Nature is a feeling like nothing else! I have to admit I was a little scared, but that too is something I don’t always experience, and so it was fun to live on the edge! We would definitely recommend this outfit and hope to be back sometime!

Wonderful experience in the paddle rafting experience. Our guide Connor was very knowledgeable and pointed out a lot of things on our day-trip. So much history to learn abt the Thompson River, and cool wildlife sightings! Well supported, positive and fun filled experience. Thanks for a superb day!

Had a wonderful weekend staying in a teepee and rafting the Thompson river. Great facilities. Lots to do: swimming pool, disc golf, corn hole, hot tub which kept our family busy before our rafting trip. Our guide was top notch, professional, safe, knew the river and his raft, and had full control at all times - his name was Connor. A total gem. Highly recommend for a weekend of adventure or to celebrate a big occasion. It was my husband’s 50th.

Tent camped at Kumsheen on our way through and was so impressed with the whole experience. Staff were friendly and helpful, facilities were clean and convenient, the tent site was great, and we loved having a pool to cool off in! Can't wait to come back and try the white water rafting and stay in the canvas cabins!

On July 17, my UK family and I did a power rafting adventure under the guidance of Hannah, a dynamic and charming young woman who kept us and our fellow rafters safe, entertained, and happy throughout our Thompson River adventure. We drove up from the coast in the morning which added three hours on each end of the day, so I might recommend staying in the resort next time, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We'll be back.

We had a great time power rafting. Our family has gone on many paddle raft trips but decided to try power rafting this time around. It's definitely a very different experience but we had a great time. The front of the raft can get some beast waves, but the back is a lot more relaxed. This makes it a great option for groups that have different desires for the experience.
