Salmon River Campground

Absolutely gorgeous spot! I stayed here to break up my drive between Campbell River and Telegraph Cove, but I will definitely be back just to spend some time here! I just car camped, but the spaces were plenty large and spread out, I felt like I almost had the place to myself, despite there being a large number of fire fighters who were also camping out.
The outdoor kitchen/hangout area was so cute and well equipped. The hot shower was very welcome.
Such a gem!

Lovely place that pictures cannot serve justice. The hosts are very sweet and welcoming and the place very cozy and inspiring for a relaxed lifestyle.

Nice facilities for cooking and showering.

Big area for tents and a nice lake for a swim or a tour in kajak or canoe. We did a small canoe tour and it was lovely. There are also a few lovely dogs and cats.

Would definitely recommend if you come around.

We stayed here 4 nights with our two dogs. Beautiful heritage house on the banks of the Salmon River. Canoes and paddleboards available for guests to use though we didn't take advantage of them this time.
Delicious breakfasts served on the covered porch sitting in the sunshine watching the river were our highlights.
Lots of room to roam and explore on this acreage and lots of great hiking available nearby. The scenery in the Sayward valley is stunning

This guest house is really amazing !!
The place is beautiful, quiet, so much wildlife (many different birds, elks, bears), and the river/mountain view from the backyard is gorgeous !! I used to take my breakfast on the patio, every morning.
This old house (from the 30s) is so charming, big and convenient.
The owners, Chris and Sue are wonderful people, they make you so comfortable, you feel at home with them.
And the keepers of the house, Birch and Zelda are the cuttest dogs ever, so friendly, you love them immediately !

Beautiful campground with plenty of different sleeping options, wonderful kitchen available, hot showers, river access, swimming, kayaking. Host was very helpful and accommodating in any way.

Wonderful, accommodating hosts, whole house rental sleeps 9 (water sports equipment included), and lots of RV and campsite space (32 acres) with BBQ area and showers, right on the Salmon River. Kayaks, canoes and paddleboards for rent. A tranquil setting in picturesque Sayward Valley, with lots of hiking and boating opportunities close by, and an excellent nearby restaurant serving fantastic seafood, Straits View.

Had an amazing stay here for the Kusam Klimb! The property is beautiful and there is a friendly dog named Birch!. Andrea and Nuka were wonderful managers! Very friendly and kind. Andrea even gave us a tour of the farm! They made us breakfast the day after the race which was so good! Will definitely be coming back next year!

Amazing hospitality and delicious food! Andrea and Nuka are friendly and knowledgeable managers who just happen to be funny, entertaining and amazing cooks! I’d recommend for anyone to come down to this beautiful location and experience the Salmon River guesthouse.

The campground is close to the river on a beautiful property. Wonderful shared kitchen and dining area as well as hot showers.
