Runway 29 Restaurant Bar Pub

A delightful experience for a first visit to the Runway 29 which our server, Chris informed us has been around for many years with the municipal airport which once used to be across the road from this Best Western Timmy's and Runway 29 located on the 2nd Floor. The soup and salad served with delicious bannock was absolutely yummy as was the burger served with delicious not greasy fries! Definitely will be stopping over when visiting Kingsway Garden Mall across the road! The healthy plants nurtured by the staff give an excellent ambience to this joint in our city!

We were greeted by Nicole whose upbeat attitude, knowledge of the menu and personal taste, made our experience the best in a long time. Nicole needs to know that she’s an amazing that she lifted my heart and soul to survive another day. I truly enjoy having Nicole as my server every time I come I leave with a warm heart. Thank you for having an amazing person as part of your crew.

Went for lunch for 6 adults- the waitress was lovely and great at answering question and very attentive to the table. I’m surprised that it wasn’t busy on a Sunday afternoon! The food was good, a few of us had the fish and chips and the portions were large!

Really enjoyed our dinner here tonight.

We stayed at the hotel, and each time we were there for breakfast or drinks. We were treated with the best service. Food was also yummy!

Hidden Gem

This has to be one of the best restaurants for breakfast in the city. The great view, food and exceptional service is phenomenal. Shout out to Zilfa for always making our experience memorable.

I am not one to leave reviews, but after the experience with my Mother and Grandmother today I feel I need to. What a 5 star experience all around! The actual restaurant is beautiful with the decor and colours chosen, with large windows for lots of natural light, being on the second floor also adds a more elegant feeling, and the bathrooms were very clean and well kept. Our server was awesome as we felt very comfortable from when we walked in, taking the order, bringing out the order, checking on us, bringing a take home box, to paying was all a very lovely experience! We all ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with Bannock, by far the best I have had, fresh ingredients and full of flavour with large portions. We will definitely be coming back with others, and spreading the word of this hidden gem in the City, well done Runway 29!

Stayed at the adjacent hotel and had the $9 breakfast. It was so good! Pancakes were unreal and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Coffee was good and we were offered free fresh fruit which was lovely. The service was great, attentive without being over bearing. You can definitely tell it's a bar that's been repurposed, but that being said when I think of a bar with VLT's in it I usually think of a seedy place but this didn't seem bad at all. Would definitely return!

Excellent service.Pasta and butter chicken amazing. New renos to the rooms are super comfortable. Highly recommend!!

Food is amazing and affordable price. I loved the Bannock eggs Benny, baked salmon and mushroom burger. Only con is they bring the bill all together when you havnt asked for the bill when we were in a group of 4. But fantastic service, we ate there 6 times in 2 days.

Always love dining here during my stays, the lady at the front counter is so courteous and friendly, food is always good, and the free fruit during breakfast is a plus.

This place rules. The food here was actually so freaking good. The elk burger was out of this world, nice craft beer. Would stay here again. It's good and worth it

We come here at least once a month and get the dill pickle Caesar and split a clubhouse. Best clubhouse in the city. The Caesar comes with a deep fried dill pickle and some bacon. It’s perfection. Service is always great and the people are lovely. One of our favourite spots in the city.

Was looking for somewhere good to eat after shopping at Kingsway Mall and decided to give Runway 29 a shot. My partner and I both had roast beef dinners that were very good. Excited to come back again!!

Food was pretty awesome didn’t take very long to get it , good wait times . Good drinks .

The service was amazing super friendly servers ! The atmosphere was good not to loud good music ! Beautiful natural lighting on the 2nd floor .
