Chicken noodle soup, hamburger, Caesar salad was awesome!! All home cooked and fresh. Will stop again if in the area!!
Companions got the maniaque chicken w poutine and said it was delicious!!

A nice stop on the road with amazingly fast service! Friendly staff and very good food. We got the fried chicken and beef burger, both were great. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Had a great experience here. Super friendly and warm staff and the food was amazing. Fries are out of this world. Club sandwich was great and my son loved the burger.

This place blew my mind! The fried chicken was perfect and the poutine was amazing. What a wonderful treat in cottage country! Definitely stop by if you are around for a wonderful meal.

Was on our way to the cottage and stopped here for food and didn’t know what to expect, but so glad that we stopped!!! Amazing chicken that is so well made and tastes great!! The fries and the portions are so good, the service was amazing and super fast! The nice lady at the front was so sweet & the staff checked in on us as we were on their patio eating, amazing friendly service as tourists, highly recommend. We came back again when we were leaving the cottage for more!

I don't usually rave about restaurants in cottage country. But this is really good! We got the chicken burger, a poutine a 3 pieces of chicken. Really good!

This was the best fried chicken I have ever eaten....skin and bones removed...
Portions are very generous....both chicken and fries were not greasy....

Best fried chicken I have had in Canada! The chicken portions are generous and the chicken is juicy and tender and not greasy! This is how fried chicken should be and reminds me of the fried chicken from the Dominican Republic mountains. Fries are thick cut and tasty and portion size is enough that I could not finish.

We will be coming back here a lot when camping and taking some home when we leave!

We discovered this gem on our trip up to the cottage. WAO!
It was to die for, we stopped on the way up and had to stop on the way back again, it was that good. The service was beyond amazing, the friendly smiles and service is always appreciated, it is great that you can enjoy it on their side terrace. The chicken is perfectly breaded and coated, it is breast, and the meat is just so tender, never have I tasted such tender meat, their fries are perfectly crispy coated and their side mac n cheese salad is gooood!
It deserves more than 5 stars.
Whatever you do, get the HOUSE GRAVY! :)

discovered poulet maniac at my local resto Pano 105 and loved it, now that I discovered it at the fringale in vAL-DES BOIS MUST ADMIT THAT IT IS EVEN BETTER!!!! The chicken is outstanding the ingredients are fresh the service is 5 star. Was so good ordered a pizza to go and guess what , it is a 5 star pizza !

This is my second time ordering from Casse-Croûte La Fringale. However, this will not be the last time placing an order here. Located about 1 hr 20 min from Orleans on the way to val-des-bois taking the 309. I just LOVE this little road side cafe/chicken-shack/eatery. I know this is a bit of a drive from Orleans, but worth every second of the drive. We are lucky because we have a cottage located about 15 min away. Therefore, we are able to stop by everytime we make the drive. I just love cooking myself therefore, when I find a location that offers home-cooked deliciousness I will take every opportunity to visit when I can.
Let's start with the chicken, all I can say is that it's simply delicious. I have tried all type of batter fired chicken and even made some myself. However, they were all quite greasy, but the same cannot be said for Casse-Croûte La Fringale batter fried chicken. The chicken was light and flakey but very filling. I ordered 6 pieces with fires and onion rings this time around but I was only able to finish 1 piece of chicken with the fires and I was full. The tenderness and flakeyness of the chicken is second to none. I can assure you if you don't take the time to make the trip to a place I now call the best chicken establishment I have had the pleasure to come across in 20 years you will regret that decision. Now, I enjoy the occasional fry but don't make a habbit of it. Simply because to enjoy the fries you need some salt to adequately season the fries for consumption. Once again this is not required with the fires I purchase. No salt was required and it had the taste required to finish them without additional salt. Them same can be said for the onion rings crispy, lightly battered and not greasy. I am forever grateful for the introduction to the Casse-Croûte La Fringale. Now to the staff running this location understand that their customers comes first and with that the service is done so with a smile 😃 and a sunny disposition. 🌞 This is the whole package great food provided with outstanding service. This alone is wroth a revisit and even with the service I would be returning. But the proprietors fully understand that the service provided is what brings us back. Because you can get chicken anywhere but providing service along with food 2nd to none is the formula for successful. My best wishes to Casse-Croûte La Fringale because they deserve every success they can get at this time.

Chicken was sooo good. Poutine was amazing. Hotdog toped wish slaw was sooo good. Staff was great as well.

Quick and friendly service, fries were so tasty and the chicken...incredible, juicy and the batter is delicious and flakey. Can't wait to come back this way to stop in again!
