Very enjoyable hike in the Park

Beautiful. You will see animals but like any other forest or park, there's no guarantee.

Avoid if you know that it has rained heavily in the last few days as it can be risky to a small vehicle. Also, the road is not paved so your vehicle will take a beating.

We saw 2 amazing turtles, 2 pairs of wild turkey, some beautiful small, walking birds and a white tailed deer.

Great place to go camping with family and friends

Amazing place as always plenty to explore with kayaks and any decent 4x4 truck or SUV can have plenty of fun exploring secondary roads or even closed off trails. Just be sure to download Avenza maps and the official GPS enable pdf map of the area as it is useful if you go offroading. I recommend lake echo for camping.

Camping du Sourd (lac du Sourd), fantastic wilderness camping. Tent clearing in the woods, outhouse and nice "private beach" for a maximum of 5 camping sites here. Note that this is at least a 20 minute drive away from Accueil Gagnon (parc entry).
Lake water is clear.

Enquire about specific lake fishing schedules to avoid any disappointments

The Papineau-Labelle Wildlife Reserve offers an exceptional setting for cross-country skiing, with more than 100 km of marked beginner and intermediate trails. Spend the night in a trailside shelter (reservations required). In summer, enjoy the fine sand beaches and calm lakes where you can set out in your canoe, kayak or pedal boat. The lakeside log cabins are quite remote—some are even on their own island. Peace and quiet guaranteed!

Excellent hiking/snowshoe and cross country trails. Beautiful rivers for canoeing. Acceuil Gagnon is well equipped with information, bathrooms and options forthe renting of canoes and campsites

Wow, what great camping. We very much enjoyed our weekend of camping and met some very nice folks on the lake. So much wilderness to enjoy.

Amazing camp sites and swimming water. Also a perfect place to disconnect as there's no cell service whatsoever in most of the reserve.

A wonderful kayak camping experience. The roads are unpaved, but are well marked and maintained in good condition.

Val Des Bois is a nice place , the population is about 800.. Nice restaurant, bakery, gaz station, couple of store , few camping site , and more
