North Peel Family Health Team

I am writing this review to show my appreciation to this amazing team, the medical clinic. I had been coming here for more than 7 years. Dr.Gopalapillai is an excellent doctor, she is patient, passionated and thorough. All the staffs working at the front desk are super helpful and friendly.
Thank you Nancy for you always have been so kind and pleasant towards the patients, I really appreciated. All the best to each one of you and keep up with your wonderful job. ❤❤❤

Mr Baretto has helped my family in ways other doctors have never been able. My husband suffers from a chemical imbalance, and has been misdiagnosed several times over 20 years causing a lot of issues mentally and physically.
When I switched to Clinton, I quickly convinced my husband to make the switch as well. When they met, Clinton got to know my husband and explained in his opinion what causing the issues. Clinton didn't just hand another prescription to my husband, and kick us out. He had patience, empathy and kindness taking the time to put a plan into action. Clinton didn’t just tell my husband pills were going to solve the problem, but that he needed to start working out to help increase his moods and reduce the stress level.
It took 20 plus years to find a health care provider to give us the right prescription, that in itself speaks volumes. Clinton is not a pill pusher, and we find that amazing. Too many Dr’s just handing prescriptions over hoping it will help their patient today, mostly because they don’t take the time to listen.
It's not easy seeing a new health care provider, I had my other one for years. But, we are super happy with the referral from Dr. Alexander McCallion and Clinton made that transition easy.

Clinton nurse practitioner is exceptional. Very professional. Aware of his patients needs. Knowledge base does provide appropiate goals and objectives for his patients care evaluates patient outcomes has excellent counselling and interview skills and follows through with plan of action. Involved with the province professioal association. Clinton is a true professional

I have been a patient of the doctors at North Peel for a long time and me and my family we are always please but their service. Our appointment always on time.Our nurse Marie is exceptional. always

This USED to be a beautiful Doctor's office to go into, and be seen as a patient.
Doctor Gopalapillai is inconsiderate, rude, and I would NEVER recommend her to anybody. As a patient, I have never felt so disregarded in my life.
I had seen her multiple times telling her something was not right in my body and all she did was prescribe me with anti depressants; pushing any real issues to the side. Sure enough it had gotten worse and when I demanded tests to be done, all of them came back positive with issues that urgently needed to be dealt with.
She does not feel sincere, honest, or genuine in any aspect of her work.
I've been at walk-in clinics that have provided more support and help than this "family doctor."

Doctor Alam is by far one of the worst doctors i have ever seen. He is extremely unprogressed. I strongly do not recommend anyone to this clinic. They have absolutely no clue about anything theyre doing. Horrible experience never going back there. Avoid this doctor and clinic at all costs.

It is my understanding that Dr. Anoja Anton has abandoned her patients and moved here and I feel that I must warn others who are thinking of choosing her as a primary physician for their family.

Dr. Anoja Anton was my family physician for over 1 year, at the Bio Health Centre at 2389 Major MacKenzie Drive W, Maple, ON. A few months ago, she sent a referral to a specialist because I had been having a chronic medical issue. I went to the hospital, was anesthetized, and the test was performed and a diagnosis and treatment plan followed. Having confidently identified a chronic issue, the specialist told me that my family doctor would receive my file and follow up. A couple of weeks later I received a call from the hospital.

When the hospital reached out to Dr. Anoja Anton with the results from the consultation that SHE requested, she told the hospital that I was not her patient. The hospital called me asking me to explain why my family doctor is saying that I am not her patient, and I had no idea that anything changed. I called the clinic where she used to practice and demanded an explanation from them, and they told me that Dr. Anoja Anton had moved. I asked them when they were planning on sending out notifications to all her former patients, and they could not give me an answer. I asked them if they had a doctor there who was picking up her practice, and they said no.

Now, here I am, warning you about Dr. Anoja Anton and how she is contributing to the abysmal and convoluted state of the Canadian healthcare system. Countries in development boast better healthcare. She will be your doctor when it's convenient for her, and when she decides to pick up and leave she won't fulfill her professional and ethical obligation to notify you. Neither will her old clinic team.

Because I believe that an ethical breach has occurred here, I have submitted an inquiry with the College of Physicians. Professionals are bound by a certain code of ethics, and there are supposed to be checks and balances in place to make sure that physicians conduct themselves in a certain way where the health and well-being of the patient is respected. As a different kind of professional, I am calling her out on this point because it makes me so angry.

It's good that I am resourceful and I was able to move on, but I feel very sorry for any senior or otherwise vulnerable person who might be feeling like the Canadian healthcare system has forsaken them. It's very important that we shine a light on doctors who behave in this way, before they cause an incalculable harm.
