Mars Sandhills Golf Course

I haven't been here in a few years and wow, I am impressed! With new ownership, the greens are in great shape, tee boxes are looking good, staff are extremely friendly. I will be back, soon!

What a difference when friendly new owners take over a very challenging situation like Jerry and Sue walked into. The course has improved immensely just need more help from Mother Nature. I am sure more improvements are on the way for next season . Keep up the positive attitude see u next year

I have been a member of this course since it went to 18 holes! The course just changed hands this spring and Jerry and Susan are doing a marvelous job in their first year of operations. Many positive changes have been made and many more on the way!
The customer service has been excellent, always friendly and ready to listen to new ideas. (probably more than they would like). Looking forward to the driving range.

The course had a rough start this year with the lack of rain however it is now taking off and is in great shape! I always look forward to my next game! Keep up the great work. I highly recommend this course to golfers of all ages! Deserves five stars.

We had our annual company golf tournament at Mars this past weekend and it was fantastic. The new owners Jerry and Sue were a pleasure to deal with, very accommodating, and had everything ready for us so that our tournament went perfectly!. It plays perfectly for a company tournament. Semi-open and playable for people that don't golf a lot, but still quite difficult for those that do. We will definitely be back next year !

I’ve been a member for over 25 years and the improvements to the course this year are the most I’ve ever seen. The new owners Are consistently asking what other improvements would make the golf experience better for the golfers. Gerry and Sue are also some of the nicest and friendliest people you’ll ever meet. They have also reopened the restaurant with really good food at affordable prices. Great to see people with a real passion for what they do making a big difference.

First, let me say that the staff and owners at Mars Sand Hills are just the most wonderfully kind people and have done an absolutely fantastic job with all the changes, upgrades and improvements year over year. It feels like a whole new course, where they actually move the pins, and tee boxes from week to week. Every time we come to play, we're impressed with something new that they have done to make the experience better. Not to mention - they make you feel super welcome and are excited for you to get out there and swing a club.
I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic place to come out and enjoy a relaxing round of golf at very affordable prices, to visit Mars Sandhills Golf Course.

The staff were very accomadating. Greens were evenly green and beautiful.. A bit fast but in great shape. Tee boxes were clean, hardly any divots and no broken tees scattered. The fairways were lush and easy to drive on with the cart, wet but we had lots of rain prior to my visit. A bit challenging with narrow fairways, really long par 5's, a few water hazzards and sand traps( they were well groomed too ). Must do 18 as the 9th hole is at the furthest part of the course. Would definitely go again. Worth the drive out from Winnipeg.

Absolutely love golfing at this course! New Ownership and staff have done a fantastic job this year with the course. Looking forward to getting back out there and enjoying another round!

The course is in great shape and the owners are super nice people. We played a round with the Yule's and had a ton of fun here! Will definitely be back

A diamond in the rough!! The management at the golf course graciously looked after our food, drink and golf cart requirements for our equestrian event! Yes, horses and golf did exist together during this one weekend in May 2018!Due to the dry conditions, there was a fire ban imposed in the province which meant we were unable to camp with our horses so the owner of the private property bordering the golf course allowed us to park our rigs there. We were so appreciative that the golf course agreed, as well. We wanted to show our appreciation in anyway possible. So instead of bringing in our own food, we decided to order from the restaurant at the golf course. We also rented a golf cart for 2 days to help deliver the food, coffee and transport some of our equipment. Our volunteers enjoyed the food options and they had hot coffee when needed! Without being able to camp, our event would have had to be canceled. Instead, the Distance Riders of Manitoba Club (DRM) had a record high turnout. It's so great when community comes together! We love riding at the Mars Sandhills and letting every golfer we know that that's where they should be golfing!!

Loved it! Worth the drive. Great course. Very friendly staff with great food and service. I love the location! Will definitely be back there more than once this year for sure.

Just golfed last night, course is in great shape. The new ownership is making a lot of positive changes!

One of my favorite golf courses. Some very challenging holes, particularly the par 5s. Plenty of places to lose your ball if you choose the wrong club or have a mis-hit on one of the narrow holes. When time allows, we try to play it twice in the same day. Reasonably priced. Well worth the hour-long drive from south Winnipeg.

Great course! Very good shape! Glad that it is now on the Golf Canada rating and can enter scores.

Mars Sandhills Golf Course is truly one of Manitoba's hidden gems. A very challenging course with elevation, water and plenty of sand. The wind also can add a real challenge. Also great staff that know you by name on arrival. Highly recommended for your round or event. You won't be disappointed.

The last time I golfed this course was about three years ago I stopped going because it was in very poor shape however I just golfed it a couple days ago and Jerry has done a tremendous job and bringing it back he is putting the time and effort into making it into a great golf course hats off to you Jerry

Been to Mars Golf Course several times this year. Course is in great shape (considering how dry our summer has been). Staff is always friendly and golf carts are in good condition. Over the years, I've always enjoyed golfing there and will continue to frequent this business.

Beautiful golf course. Very well maintained. Greens run fast, fairways are smooth.

Got to be honest the course tore us a new one!! It is amazing! Lots of variety, open fairways and some narrow bush lined ones. A true challenge for all levels. Will we be back? Of course we will!!
