High River General Hospital Emergency Department

Took mom in because she was having kidney pain - 3 hours later and discharged, initial assessment, blood and urine checks, xray and cat scan done in that time.

Can't say enough about how good the staff were and how fast things went, probably wouldn't even had an initial assessment done in Calgary in that time.

Went in to emergency, spend 3hrs just in the waiting room. (They only called one person in that whole time). I ended up leaving and going someplace else. Super frustrating when all you’re hearing are staff laughing and chatting about weekend plans while they have a room full of people waiting to be seen.
The two women at the front desk were also fun to deal with. One looked extremely annoyed I dared to ask her a question. I also enjoyed being scolded by her because I said Urgent Care instead of Emergency Room. The second must have forgotten she was at work. Yes. You have to put your coffee down and help people check in. Ridiculous these are the same people complaining they are being over worked and underpaid.
