Strathcona Community Hospital

I went last night for chest pain due to heart problems.
The triage nurse took a while because it was 4 am and she must've been busy.
But the nurses were do kind and loving. They definitely saw me right away and were so knowledgeable and rook care of me in a timely fashion.
Thank you for making my install a nice one. Your kindness is welcoming and made my visit much better.

Very attentive staff, brought my daughter in to emergency and the staff were very kind & caring. Nurse Austin was absolutely incredible!! very professional, friendly & thoroughly explained everything. 👏 we were in & out very quickly. Honestly one of the best hospital experiences I've ever had

I know wait times a long and I’ve seen the reviews of people complaining about that but it’s not the hospitals fault. That’s our healthcare system. Go take it up with the government if that’s your biggest issue. I can see why it’s frustrating waiting hours and hours when you don’t feel good but this is probably the best hospital to go to in my opinion. And they take the more severe cases first which makes sense. Those people are on a health and vital time crunch. Like don’t be so selfish and ignorant. If you think otherwise try going to the royal Alex and see how fast you get in with the plethora of people over pouring out the waiting room waiting to see a doctor. And I guarantee you you’ll never find a kinder hospital staff. I had Eva and another lovely lady looking after me and they were the bees knees. I’ll happily come back here every time I have to go to emergency in the future, and I will happily wait to see a doctor because once you do they make sure to take care of you and do everything they can to help.

Best hospital ive ever been to. Got my tests and diagnosis faster then anywhere else. They treated me very respectfully. The doctors r very kind. When it was time to leave they gave me a buspass and number to call on demand bus. The on demand didn't come so I went bevk to emergency and instead they order and paid for my cab back into Edmonton but millbourne mall. Np hospital has cared or treated me with such care to even pay for a cab back home. Definitely the best hospital to go to if you want rhe care and kindness

I would like to thank the wonderful, caring Dr.'s and nurses I saw today. From triage, staff nurse, Intern and the ER. Doctor. You should all be so proud of the great care you are delivering in these trying times of cutbacks. Bravo!!!

I arrived by ambulance and the attending Dr., nurses, respiratory therapist, x-ray technician and anesthesiologist were amazing. Very professional, thorough, efficient and friendly. They explained my injuries, everything about the treatment they were providing and kept me as comfortable as possible. The most sever injury and best emergency experience I've ever had. I had taken my son to this same emergency years ago and had a similar positive experience. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic experience at the emergency department. Yes, there was a wait, but the wait was reasonable for the reason of the visit and in comparison to some of the visible injuries of those around. The staff were incredible - the triage nurse was helpful, offered pain relief, and showed genuine care. The student nurse once in the back was considerate and eager to have good conversation to fill the void. The doctor showed compassion for the unique situation and worked to reasonably expedite the process. I was impressed by how efficient the care team was. Kudos to the ED team!

Amazing staff!!! My mom had a serious case of Pneumonia and the staff treated it with the most urgent care. Very lovely people. God bless.

Went in with chest pains. They did blood work and an ecg before I even got a bed. The doctor was able to see me with all the tests already done which saved so much time. I was there for less than 3 hours. The staff was amazing, kind, considerate, willing to listen. I hate going to the hospital but this experience was the best I've ever had. Best of all, I'm ok. I hope I never have to go back, but if I do this hospital is my first choice.

Dr. King at the ambulatory care clinic is amazing. I'd seen other specialists in Edmonton who barely gave me 5 minutes of their time, even after treatment options had repeatedly failed. Dr. King spent considerable time getting to know my history and asking questions. When I asked a question about a possible diagnosis that she wasn't familiar with, she spent time looking up some articles with me and agreed that is was worth looking into. Great bedside manner and very reassuring. She presented multiple treatment and symptom management options that others had never mentioned to me. I'm so glad I got to see her!

We brought our 1.5 years old daughter to ER today as we were concerned with her not taking in any liquids. We had amazing experience today, starting with the most pleasant triage nurse who has been wo kind and patient with the little one, ending with amazing doctor and nurse once we got a room. This is the best my daughter has been treated, thank you so much 💕

Thank You All Healthcare Workers!! Had appointment to have CT Scan. Staff were very friendly helpful & caring. Hospital is very clean unlike our current Government. Please keep up the good work here.

Dr James soertheart and nurse Kelsey were so welcoming and helpful when I went to the emerg room

I brought my toddler into the emergency due to asthma, we were greeted warmly by the peace officer working, everyone had smiles on their face and treated us with genuine warmth and care.
The triage nurse made my son feel so comfortable and we were soon given stickers, colouring papers & crayons by the peace officer.
My son ended up getting sick while we were waiting and within a minute we received warm clothes to clean his face and clothes! Once in emergency the nurses were so kind, chatted with us and explained the processes thoroughly. They offered us water, popsicles ( for my son) and even a teddy bear. I am blow away at the over and beyond measures the hospital staff took to make us feel comfortable in a stressful setting. The doctors were extremely professional and continuously checked in on us, even just to pop their head in to check quickly while walking by.
Thank you for taking care of my son and making the process comfortable for him.

My wife had to come to treat a broken wrist and the staff were amazing. They were kind and understanding and we really appreciated all of their care. We are very thankful, we have this hospital in our community.

My daughter went to the community hospital yesterday with a head injury. The care and concern she received from the moment she walked in the door until she was able to leave was excellent. The screener and the security guard were thorough and caring going above and beyond their job requirements. She felt the intake nurse actively listened to her symptoms. The ED nurse was outstanding... So personable and caring even though she was doing a million things she never made her feel like she wasn't important. The doctor took the time to sit and listen to how my daughter was feeling. She did a thorough examination and explained clearly every step of the process. We know wait times are long but our health care professionals and support staff are doing the best they can even though everyone is understaffed and exhausted. Thank you!! We appreciate all of you!

Right from the administration clerk to security the x-ray technician, nurses Cloe, Marie and Dr Singh, these people are great. Yes wait times do exist but that isn't a control factor the facility has.
The two ladies who were cat scan operators were professional and extremely helpful.

Staff was very efficient and enthused personal care as their primary objectives. Triage was totally fair and unbiased.
