Super cute cafe! Lots of seating so you can work/study. They have a few vegan choices like the chocolate vegan cupcake I had. AMAZING cheese scones!! So fresh and flaky.

Sometimes the hours on google are wrong, so I would call to see if they are open before going. Would come back again to try more sandwiches!

Such a great breakfast spot! Lots of seating, friendly staff and we absolutely loved the focaccia sandwiches. We got the eggplant and the cauliflower ones and the eggplant was our fave. It’s a dark and cozy atmosphere with bar vibes. Order at the front before sitting down. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice breakfast spot in the area!

I had the lox and eggs and my wife had the lox on a bagel with arugula and it was amazing, the flat white latte was outstanding, the waitress asked if we wanted to try the carrot cake and 😱 it's so moist and the cream cheese on it is divine, definitely one of my favorite coffee places now.

I hadn't been here in a few months. So when I heard they were streamlining their service and would only serve prepackaged breakfast meals, I panicked. They only offered 3 options for breakfast, and I chose the breakfast burrito (with meat). The picture I have here is what made me prepared for disappointment - but what a surprise! The same quality of Lockstock ingredients and preparation were put into this and I could TASTE it! Lockstock still has it. Also, for you coffee lovers, the gibralto is *mwah*

Everytime I come here, everyone is in such a great mood and the coffee???? Oh the coffee is perfection. This is my #1 recommended coffee shop to everyone who visits Edmonton. My partner and I also used to work a block or two away and would make the trek in -40 just to grab our coffee (and breakfast sandwiches) here. Do yourself a favour and visit!

I have only been here in the mornings a few times, so I only had the chance to try out a few of their breakfast sandwiches and coffee. While simple in presentation, you can really taste the flavour of all the ingredients. For instance, the subtle sweetness of the house-made tomato jam stands out with the savoury taste of the meat. Americano is pretty much what you would expect as well. Service is also pretty quick, and the workers are friendly. I’ll definitely be back to try out some more, especially some of their fresh baked goods.

Also worth mentioning it’s quite interesting to visit the place during the day when comparing it to the bar atmosphere of Red Star during pre-pandemic nights. When restrictions aren’t in place, it can be a nice getaway for productivity settling in one of the booths.

Had a little brunch here with a friend, no complaints. The lox bagel I had was delicious, I wish I had more than one. Wasn’t terribly priced. The atmosphere was great, comfortable, and the service was good.
I will be back.

Popped in here while we waited for the EPS funeral procession. A bit of a hole in the wall downstairs, dark but delicious. Order at the door coffee and treats, the pudding cake was absolutely delectable. The tea latte was fantastic after coffee shop hopping all morning. Staff was friendly and quick. Ample seating, wifi and power to do a bit of work too.

Very cool coffee shop located in a basement pub. The windows look out to Jasper Ave and they serve great quality espresso coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches. Ambience is very hip, seems like a business crowd there. Is nice enough for business meetings if you're looking for a casual place downtown. I had a mocha myself, with some impressive coffee art. Definitely a spot worth checking out! If they had named it 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Bagels,' I would be trying to buy the place myself LOL.

Short hours, love the space and the exploration of fast dash morning start food. The coffee is always great and the staff are a gem. Don't get me started on the water, it's a great treat. Must come again.

TL;DR amazing spot. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Amazing food. Perfect Americano.

Location/Atmosphere: It is on Jasper below Watari. You can't miss the sign: walk down the stairs. The lighting is perfect. It has plenty of seating and a great vibe.

Food/Drink: My Americano was perfect. I also had the Focaccia BLT: And, damn--the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Fair warning, the cold brew has a floral taste to it, which some may like, but my significant other did not enjoy.

Staff: wait staff were super well informed with the menu, worked well together, and were extremely personable and polite.

Proce point: a little on the high end, but this is a case of you pay for what you get.

Free wifi. Comfy atmosphere. Delicious eats. Convenient location. It could use a nap room but I think that of every place I visit. It's pricey but worth it in my opinion. They have oat milk and cold brew, too!

The music is amazinggggg and great staff, also love the atmosphere, lights and tables with outlets for your laptop

Location: Jasper ave and 105street. Edmonton, Alberta #yeg . A few steps down from the main street, you can’t miss the big Red Star (The coffee shop entrance is to the right of Red Star Pub)

Parking: Jasper ave and surrounding area street parking or parkades. I use MyEPark app for convenience, unless I actually have change on hand in my vehicle.

Time: I have had the pleasure of stopping in during my lunch hours midday. I do go out of my way to stop here as opposed to larger chain coffee shops Downtown.

Ambience: Music is not too loud, dim and warm lighting. Friendly and smiling staff each time I visited. Free WiFi available. The music selection is always on point...I actually don't know how this is possible each and every time I step foot in here!

Food/drink: I enjoyed their BLT, which was super tasty with a hint of sweetness. Vanilla latte with almond milk. Excellent 👌

Allergy/diet accommodations: wish they had more gluten friendly options, but nobody’s perfect 😉 They offer non-dairy milk varieties if you enjoy lattes like me.

Service and Quality: When it comes to coffee...I love me some great quality. I find it here. In addition, if you get the chance to sit down to enjoy your lunch here...do it...they serve their large lattes in a Pint glass, but its served at the perfect temperature so you can actually touch the glass so its not too hot, so you can also sip it right away, without waiting for it to cool!

Such a cool hidden gem on Jasper. I’ve wanted to visit for a couple years, and it didn’t disappoint!

Love the old wood and unique atmosphere. Friendly baristas. Enjoyed a well balanced latte with smooth espresso paired with quality Elmhurst almond milk.

My father had a hot chocolate, which looked to be steamed with dark chocolate chunks (maybe not for those with extreme sweet tooth’s, but perfect for the dark chocolate connoisseurs).

They are also on top of the covid precautions, with plexi glass, disinfecting and hand sanitizer.

It doesn’t appear to have wifi, but I may be wrong.

Plenty of pay parking, or find somewhere residential and take a 15 walk, like we did.

I’m a frequent guest at Red Star but this was my first time coming to Lock Stock in the morning for coffee. I was reminded why this is the best shop in all of Edmonton! The coffee was exceptional, staff are amazing, and the vibe in here is incredible all the time!

This is my second time here. It was busy but a large enough establishment that tables were still available. Once I ordered and paid it was a reasonable wait for the food. I ordered the $8.00 breakfast sandwich which was delicious. Actually more than delicious, it tasted gourmet. It was not your average breakfast sandwich. Big appetites might want more but for the price it's fine and probably the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time. My Americano was quite good and at $3.00 also reasonably priced. As my second visit was even better than my first time, you can be sure that I'll be back a third time.

We love coming here for breakfast. We miss the larger menu but I’m sure there was a good reason for the switch.

I totally missed this cafe the very first time I tried to find it! This cafe was absolutely beautiful inside. It was super cozy with beautiful twinkly lights! They also got a good selection of treats. It wasn’t too loud there so people definitely could study there!

Great coffee and amazingly friendly staff! I photographed some clients here a little while ago. Everyone was so helpful and it was nothing but a good time. I didn't have a chance to try the food, but I hear that is amazing too. I will definitely be going back.
