Restaurant Modena

My family and I went to Modena tonight for dinner and it was absolutely amazing! The service was great - our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.

The food is DELICIOUS. The portions are quite large and we were expecting to have leftovers, but we all cleared our plates since it tasted so good...

I will be returning here next time I am in Montreal!

Fantastic service, first and foremost. The space is gorgeous and worth a visit for that alone. The real reason I recommend Modena, is their food. I've had pasta, I've had pizza, I've had salad and I haven't had enough. I've also had Moretti (on tap), which I love!

I hope to visit again soon.

Absolutely Amazing! The service was great, and the entire staff was super nice and friendly. The food was the best Italian food I’ve had while in Montreal, everything tasted amazing. The atmosphere was calming and welcoming, and overall I would strongly recommend! Skip the other Italian restaurants in the area and come strait to Modena, it will without a doubt have the best food!

The restaurant only opened a few months ago, but the service and food quality are most impressive. Our waitress was delightful and fast although there were many guests. The food was exquiste, the arancini and lasagna among the best I've had. Add to that a complete bar menu and dessert, what else do you want? Prices were reasonable, and the location on Rue St. Paul is perfect. Highly recommended!

Very friendly and attentive staff. Delicious pizza, pasta, and salads just off the Old Port and Place Jacques-Cartier. Family and large group friendly, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We will definitely visit again!

Amazing pasta dishes and pizza. Service from Lorenzo is top-notch, very professional and caring! Our group of 7 are still raving about how delicious it was. Beautiful backdoor patio with outdoor couches and fireplaces.

It was wonderful! Fig and goat cheese pizza was awesome. Owner was very nice. For US travelers who like a lot of water with there meal, "flat" water is purchased by the bottle (size of a wine bottle).

Found this little gem when walking through the old town section of Montreal. They have only been open a month or two but they have it down. Our server, Laura, was so personable, friendly and attentive and she made good suggestions about the food and drink. We shared the brie with sun dried tomatoes and crostini appetizer and a pizza with three kinds of meat. Everything was presented well and tasted great. This is not your typical touristy restaurant found throughout the area. This is genuine delicious food like you would find in Italy or your grandma's kitchen (if your grandma was a modern Italian woman!). We highly recommend that you give them a try. Next door they have a fresh sausage shop but we did not have time to check it out.

First time earlier this evening, met the owner Joe, and I say congratulations and all the best for long term success! I have to be honest, I had to try the pizza and the polpette to pass the test. They were both delicious:) We’re Montrealers, and so we’ll be back.

Excellent food. We had a pizza and lasagna and they were both delicious. Service was also very good and friendly. Very nice back terrace.

Food was awesome! So tasty, not heavy like a lot of Italian food. We actually ordered seconds on the brie app. Erich, our waiter, was so nice!!! Great place!!!

Brought my two daughters there for lunch (12yrs & 15yrs). The food was excellent and the owner even came out to say hello to the customers. We had a personal pizza, tortellini rosé , lazagna di casa and calamari fritti not to mention with some wine (of course). All was amazing!

Modena has a delightful patio and romantic atmosphere. We were welcomed even at the late hour by Krystin, who was very helpful with the menu and her delightful attitude made the meal all the better. My wife and I shared a great pizza, salad and, of course, great vino. We would recommend Modena to anyone looking for great Italian food and ambiance. Ask for Krystin!

Was searching for an authentic Italian meal, seeing Arancini on the menu we figured Modena was worth a shot. This intimate restaurant did not disappoint.

I challenged Chef Joe to cook me what he felt, I ended up very satisfied with his selection "Pasta Modena". I was in fact so full, I ordered dessert to go, rightly assuming that it would be as excellent as the rest of the meal.

Top quality wait staff. A much needed option for those of us in the Montegerie region. Would recommend

Honestly this was the best Italian food my fiancé and I have ever had. Amazing amazing amazing. The most welcoming staff coupled with great food led to an overall amazing experience. This place will forever be my go to! I recommend the Fazzoletti Rosée. Yum!

Whether you're a local, or visiting Montreal for the first time, you MUST try this restaurant! Authentic Italian cuisine that cannot be compared! Perfect spot for a 5a7, or a casual evening with friends. This place will not disappoint!

Food was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Prices are in line with what’s available in the area, which is to say a bit on the pricey side.
