Otter Creek Inn

My husband and I have stayed here over 17 years. We have never had a negative experience at this hotel except rude and unappreciable guests. The owners work hard at keeping a quiet, clean and comfortable place. The convenience of the water front and docks and close proximity to everything Abay has to offer is a major plus.
This hotel is older but Dennis and Deb and staff work very hard at keeping all their guests satisfied and comfortable. They try to do improvements every year. It may not be a fancy chain hotel but a great place to stay for a reasonable price. Thank you for everything Otter Creek Inn.

My stay at Otter Creek Inn was Very Nice.

The Boat docks are floating docks and this helps getting into and out of boat.

The rooms are very clean (compared to some of the places I have stayed in my travels).

Easy walking distance to downtown.

The staff is courteous and helpful to my questions.

Nice quiet place to stay.

I would difinitely stay there again.

Otter Creek Inn in Alex Bay is the best motel In the region for the very reasonable price, in my opinion. Beautiful docks and area to relax near the water, clean rooms and within easy walking distance to everything in town. The owners are helpful and take care to maintain a safe, peaceful environment for their guests. We will be back for sure.

It's not at all fancy, but it's clean, not expensive, and easy walking distance to the shops in Alex Bay. Plus, the proprietor is a blues fan - bonus!

Great place to stay, reasonable price clean rooms and very nice staff. Close to everything and you don’t need to drive anywhere. Will stay there again soon

This place is a bit of a throwback which is exactly what I wanted for my trip. Given the area and the style of motel I really like this place, it took me back.
The rooms were very clean and adequately sized. The staff was very kind and helpful. I would stay here again.
The motel is in a neighborhood in Alexandria Bay and offers a view of a small arm of Alexandria Bay along with a boat marina.
It is an easy walk to shops, restaurants and downtown Alexandria Bay, or A Bay as they call it.

Owners are very nice and helpful... turn down your room fridge though... even at 4 1/2 we had beer/pop/milk freeze and beer exploded. Room service people were very friendly too. Nice sitting area by the docks... peace & quiet. Within a few minutes walking distance to Alex Bay, so very convenient.

Spent 2 nights and 3 days here. I read previous reviews and am surprised at the negative comments. My husband and I are not new to staying in motels, and let me say that the rooms were what we would expect, (bed,shower/tub, sink,tv, towels/washcloths, hair dryer, soap, shampoo). The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spotless. I will say that it didn't compare to The MGM in Vegas, but I wasn't expecting that and I most certainly didn't pay for that either. We appreciated the knowledge that the owners shared with us about the area and their recommendations. Speaking of the owners Debbie and Dennis went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything it should be and even offered what they could for my husband as he suffered from leg discomfort and had difficulty being comfortable at times! Being short staffed and having to do some of the work, laundry,cleaning, themselves did not take away from their availability or courtesy towards us. The only negative that we had was that we had to leave and return home. I would recommend to anyone who does not expect something for nothing,after all this is a business, to stay here. We would definitely stay here again and are sorry we waited so long to stay here. THANK YOU DEBBIE AND DENNIS!

Beautiful little gardens on a very peaceful and relaxing waterfront dock. Exactly the rest we needed. Walking distance to everything. We walked to many different restaurants, ice cream, cocktails and shops. Walked to the park and beach to swim. Walked to the museum and to the paddle boat tour of the castle. Walked around town to tour the historic homes. Staff is wonderful! Wish we had a boat to park right at the dock right outside our door!

We have stayed here 3 times so far and each stay has been excellent! Dennis and Debbie are fabulous and run a fantastic operation. The rooms are always clean and the area is quiet and well kept. It is also a great place to bring your boat as well. The docks are brand new as well as the outdoor seating area. We enjoyed this as our little fishing spot! Perfect and peaceful place to have a cup of coffee in the morning as well! We will definitely be back!! Thank you Dennis and Debbie!

Wow, what a beautiful quiet place to relax! The rooms are roomy and clean. The dock is great place to reflect in a comfy adirondack chair and kick back. Its close to all things downtown by foot! it wont dissapoint!!! Owners were super friendly and very helpful

We only spent 2 nights at this motel, but the accommodations were very good. Our room was very clean and well maintained. Owners and staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had a king bed, which was very comfortable. Extra pillows were provided, which my husband always appreciates. It is kind of out of the way, which is nice, but still in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Another very nice item, that may seem strange to put in this review, but the toilet paper was not paper thin like so many places we have stayed. Thanks for that!! I only have one small complaint, which is, the soap provided was only one small bar. However, I did not complain to the owner, and I am sure that if I had asked, we would have been provided with more, so can't really make that an issue. In all, a very pleasant experience, and will stay there again if in the area.

I have been going to Otter Creek Inn for at least 20 years. I have stayed at fancy resorts with room services and breakfasts etc. No other hotel has given the relaxing comfortable feeling you get here. The rooms are very clean and the facility is very well kept. Bring a fishing pole and your slippers, you can fish while you drink your morning coffee.

Affordable, clean, close to the harbor. We had a great time there.

my wife booked this from the reviews she had read. The place is very nice and very clean. yes the rooms are a little dated but your only sleeping there and like i said very clean!! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. we sat on the dock and it was relaxing. only a couple blocks from the main street so a easy walk. will definitely book again!

Staff was super friendly. Rooms were clean. Nice short walk to all the restaurants and businesses. Will be staying here every year we come up from now on. Not one complaint.

We stayed here one night and it was very pleasant. If you’re expecting a modern hotel this is not the place for you, but it is very clean, quaint, and well taken care of! We have no complaints!

Dennis and Deb were outstanding hosts. They were so welcoming and accommodating. The boat docks are new and easy to access. They have outdoor seating to chill and watch the boats, or fish off the docks. There is a grill if you want to cook and small refrigerators in the room.
Comfortable beds as well.

The people who own this motel are extremely friendly. We didn't want to leave. Room was spotless and shower had good hot water. We stayed because of previous reviews and we were not disappointed. It is close to all amenities including shopping. Can easily walk to everything.

Quite area, a short walk or drive to downtown, on the water, well kept grounds and more. Owners very friendly, helpful and always there. Rooms are clean, updated and reasonably priced. We already returned again for another fun week. There is a boat launch there, fishing off the dock and a nice picnic area on the water front. This year, 2019, we returned for another beautiful week there. The owners are extremely kind, friendly & helpful. Unfortunately our car broke down and the owners went above & beyond to help us & make our stay the best it could be. We will always stay here in our future visits. Thank you Dennis & Debbie.
