River Rock Cottages

My sister and I stayed this past weekend with our girls. This was our first time in Alexandria Bay. The location right on the water is so peaceful and beautiful. The cottage itself was everything we needed and close to all the touristy spots. The owner Carol is such a nice lady and kept checking in to see if all was ok and if we needed anything. We can't wait to make this an October tradition now.

The cabin was very cozy and fit the 7 of us very comfortably. Lots of space, inside and out. Incredible view onto the St. Lawrence river, with a patio-like bedrock slab that slopes down to the docks. Perfect place for evening fires. We rented pontoon boats that we moored directly behind the house and it was non stop fun. The host was lovely and wanted to make certain that we had everything we could need. 10/10 would do again.

Amazing waterfront cottages with boat access!! The renovations since my visit last season look great. I stayed in the main cottage which is huge, cozy, and clean. Perfect place for the whole family or a group of friends to have an amazing getaway weekend in Alexandria Bay!

Amazing experience, we couldn't have been happier! The owners are extremely nice and attentive to anything that you may need! The cabins were extremely clean and had all the necessities for our stay. The property as well was stunning with lots of dock space! I couldn't recommend enough!

Traveled from Hawaii to have a visit with friends here and it was absolutely beautiful. Amazing sunsets and even better hospitality from Carol and her family. She cares a lot about her guests and goes above and beyond to make sure they are comfortable. It is the perfect place for families looking for a variety of things to do. Kayaking, boating, swimming, fishing, s’mores by a fire, or a nature walk along the trail across the street. Hoping to come back for another visit in the future!

My fiancé and I had a beautiful week at the Cottages. The owner, Ms. Carol is extremely sweet and accommodating to our needs. The location is great because it’s close to great hiking trails, restaurants, and wineries. We will be back for sure! Highly recommend!

Absolutely top, notch 1000 Islands experience!!! I highly recommend to anyone. Among the other vacation activities we participated in, some of the most enjoyable were the kayaking and paddleboating at River Rock (provided for free as a River Rock guest). Looking forward to many vacations in the future at River Rock Cottages!!

We had so much fun this week! This place is beautiful! You can walk into town thats how close you are to all the shops. This place is on the water and so peaceful! I highly recommend this place 100%!!! We cant wait to come back!

So quiet with a beautiful view of the river. Now known as River Rock Cottages. Clean, well appointed cottages with easy access to all the river/Alex Bay has to offer!

Fantastic stay! Within walking distance to town. Lots of fun activities and amazing sunsets! Host was very gracious and considerate.

We have had a great vacation at River Rock. The view can't be beat. The cottage is comfy and clean.

Amazing view, great atmosphere!

First of all, the area was beautiful and the sunsets were among the best we've ever seen. Every evening, a magnificent great blue heron perched on a rock while Canadian geese paddled through, making for spectacular photo ops (bird enthusiasts will love it here and the amazing lack of goose poo) You just can't put a price on location and it was perfect. River access was great (no parking for trailers), quiet cove with slower boat traffic, but the docks were in need of repair/overhaul. Close to downtown restaurants and shops and tour boats. The cottage we stayed in was very basic, rather rustic and in need of updates (floors were uneven, toilet was a little wonky, buggy, beds were in need of replacement, WiFi spotty). Looking forward to the upgrades expected. The appliances worked fine as well as the hot water heater, and the window a/c units cooled the entire cottage with a little patience and a fan (in need of serious cleaning).
