Spent a week here in NS during lobster season as part of a life long seafood addiction and dream to eat the freshest lobster possible... Dennis point cafe made it a complete dream with their seafood chowder, lobster poutine and hot lobster sandwich.

The hot lobster sandwich with the creamed lobster was mind blowing, insanely good, with the poutine just a hair less amazing but still incredible. Their chowder wasn't the absolute best I had this week, but it was a VERY close second if I'm being honest. Just absolutely phenomenal experience all around, great decor, clean and spacious too!

Karen d'Entremont even warned us about the incoming, likely to be loud, coffee breakers from the wharf before we chose a seat and she made sure we had a nice peaceful spot with a gorgeous ocean/wharf view. Her attention to detail and care for us as customers was second to none. Definitely going to come back any chance I get now that we live fairly close over in NB.

Used their pan fried haddock on my southwest salad. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked.

The best fish I've ever eaten on East Coast. I've tried many fish and chips around USA and Canada and I was always disappointed. However at Dennis Point Cafe fish was tasty and juicy. I took halibut cheeks, my husband traditional fish and chips, both pan fried with home special salad. Finally we were able to taste fish, not oil it was cooked in. It is a hidden gem.

Really good food! We all had the Acadian Sampler which consists of a homemade bun, seafood chowder, fish cake with chow chow( delicious!!) and rappie pie with molasses on the side. This was new to me and it took some time to figure out how I best liked it. ( with a little bit of molasses on it) In the end I’m glad I tried it. We also got the coconut cream pie but we ate it too fast for me to take a picture of it. It was great! Dad also had the cider called ‘ no boat on Sunday’ which was good and he said he would definitely get again. We will be back for sure!

If you like fresh fish this is the place to visit. The restaurant is located across from the Dennis Point wharf. The food is great and the wait staff is awesome. Not only is the food great but visiting the wharf is a must. Dennis Point is home to Atlantic Canada's largest fishing fleet, and probably the entire east coast of North America.

I will add my voice to all the people saying this is the best restaurant around! Definitely where I go when I want good seafood with a glass of wine and great atmosphere. I have had a wonderful experience with the staff every time I have visited and I love the local community and hearing both Acadian French and English in the room, it's perfect.
They also (usually, when it's on) have some of the best coconut cream pie and bread pudding around. Best thing on the menu is the lobster fettucine, for sure. Have it with a glass of white. :)

Stopped by for Lobster Poutine. The portion was good and the food great. The location has great views of all of the fishing boats tied up at the wharf across the road. The dining room is spacious and easy to navigate for persons of all abilities. Clean and tidy. Staff was fantastic with the usual Acadian hospitality which cannot be beat.

If you’re looking for a good, wholesome meal look no further. This place is amazing! Our family each had a different seafood dish and everyone shared. Their food is very tasty and well balanced. Staff are very friendly and make you feel like part of the community. 100% recommend.

P.S. This is where the locals go, they know good food.

We made a special trip with family to Middle West Pubnico to dine at the Dennis Point Café and we were not disappointed.
My Haddock and Scallop Platter had two fresh thick lightly breaded pieces of haddock, fresh carrots, rice , coleslaw and tartar sauce. My wife chose the fish cakes with green tomato chow chow and coleslaw.
Service was professional,fast and friendly.
The Café is right across the street from the fishing boats, and located near fish and lobster processing plants so freshness is the name of the game whff re n it comes to seafood.

If you’re in south west Nova Scotia, don’t pass up on a chance to explore the beautiful Pubnico area and visit the Dennis Point Café!!

What do you order at a restaurant across the road from a working fishing wharf? Fish! Wonderful home cooked meals and desserts naked daily. The fish & chips was awesome!

Great, friendly service here. The best lobster roll I've had yet with more fries than you should eat...
The dessert of coconut cream pie was fabulous also. Will return for sure!

My fav place when we visit Nova Scotia for haddock bits. Excellent food, always, and reasonably priced. Expect to sit amongst locals, and the local fishermen as you enjoy your meal. The nearby wharf is fascinating and accessible to wander either pre or post meal.

We had a fabulous fish chowder here two days ago, the best I have experienced in the last ten years, at least.. Our waitperson was extremely helpful and personable as she explained why the men were sitting on the left side of the entrance and the women on the right. This was a great lunch stop, followed by a walk among the largest fishing fleet on the coast, mostly lobster boats on the dock for the summer until the last Monday of November, Dumping Day, when the fleet heads out to sea to set traps.
