Elkhorn Motor Hotel

I got bumped into the ditch in a snow storm on my way to Winnipeg and had to get towed out. Since it was late and dark I followed the tow truck company to Elkhorn and found a room at the Elkhorn Motor Hotel. It was extremely clean, super super warm (the heating was phenomenal), the customer service was incredible. They made me some custom food. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels smelled so nice. It was a really great experience, especially for the price, and I would consider stopping there anytime.

Excellent Service and the best damn burger I have had in a long time! The ground beef was very fresh. Quick service at the beer vendor and a good selection. They also have a chase the ace game that pays out handsomely. VLT's and pickled eggs!

Burgers are great as ever. Covid didn't stop this place from cooking a good meal.

Stayed here for a night when my car broke down on the highway. The staff were very kind in letting me stay in my (air conditioned) room during +30C weather into the late afternoon the next day while I waited to be rescued. The room is about as basic as you can get, but that's all I needed at the time. Very reasonable price.

You might want to eat here but you probably don't want to stay here. The room was last renovated just after Manitoba became a province. I can't decide if it was the holes in the ceiling, the bubbling paint, the large plywood patch, or the drip bucket hanging from the bathroom fan that added the most to the ambience. I have to give them two stars instead of one because the air conditioner actually did work and they did have wifi. You know you're not fussy when you're willing to stay in a motel in Elkhorn but this $55 room would only have been a 'good deal' at $19.95.

Wouldn't stay again.. rooms need to be updated and are smoking rooms
