Awesome experience with Hunt's Dive Shop and South Jersey Scuba for my first dive trip! Dana was very accommodating and knowledgeable - a wealth of information 👍

We dove multiple days exploring 5 different shipwrecks in the Thousand Islands area. Each dive was amazing!

This dive shop is a gem with a rich history dating back to the beginnings of the sport. A family operation, the Hunt legacy is well preserved in a well-run operation with friendly staff and great service. They accept card and cash (despite the 4 star review on this page from years ago). Even if you aren't a diver, it is worth going inside just to appreciate all the trinkets (big and small) pulled out of the river and restored over the years. If you are in the area, I recommend driving down to Hunts for all of your diving needs and curiosities. It will be like visiting family - one of the coolest families in the dive industry.

- edit - came back again a year later - this shop only gets better. What a wonderful time we had diving wrecks of the St. Lawrence. Both Dana and Khris are absolutely wonderful and every interaction with them is a pleasure.

The Best Customer Service in town! They have brand new dive gear in the rental line. The shop is very flexible on the scuba gear rental. We have one day gear rental during the independence day and they let us return the gear next business day. We are beyond statisfactory.

Thanks Kris and the Hunt dive shop team, I was in cape vincent midweek wih a group of non divers and didn't think i would get a chance to put in some freshwater diving. Hunts took my name and I got a call on monday morning, 3 people were going out for a shore dive! they met meat the shop and outfitted me and by 10 am I was diving the wreck of the islander and then proceeded to bonnie castle. Mid summer vis was just ok but I am glad I got a chance to jump in!

Hunts Dive Shop appears as a small dive shop outside of Clayton, NY, but size is not everything. Knowledgeable staff, experience and quality products are of more importance, and I found all of that here. The shop has a nice collection of items found in the area (individual finds at the channel bottom, not from wrecks). For those who dive in Alexandria Bay, you can get your tanks filled here. For those who want to learn how to dive, the shop offers PADI open water certifications as well as more advanced classes. The shop also has their own boat for charter dives. I was very happy with their service, advise and direction. I will definitely be stopping in the next time I am in the area

The staff at Hunt’s Dive Shop are professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They really know diving and dive gear. I am a beginner diver and Hunt’s is an excellent resource for me. I rented two tanks from them and the tanks seemed new and very well-maintained.

Best place I've been to dive in the 1000 islands. Great people, all around a wonderful experience. Would not recommend anybody else but these guys. Thanks again Hunts for the awesome weekend of diving.

good guys they have mostly new equipment. We were doing a two-day open water diving class so they let us keep the stuff over night which was nice.
