This is the best place that we have been in the area for fish and chips, this time we had the seafood platter for two with onion rings instead of fries on one half.
Service was great, meal was done faster than expected, the pieces of fish are generous and battered just right, clams were good and I'm not a fan of clams normally, shrimp and scallops cooked to perfection, and some very good fries with a side of gravy that I didn't find amazing but my wife loved it, home made biscuit to start was awesome and for desertthe house made coconut cream pie was very rich and delicious.
Great food, friendly staff and a great location.

Best fried clams I have ever had! Cooked to perfection! ...with tartar sauce...omg, yum!!
Very ATV friendly. The trails lead you right to the back door! 😁

Delicious biscuits and scrumptious pies! Our server (don't recall his name but tall younger redhead) went out of his way to make sure my son and I had a great dinner. Definitely would recommend!

We ate here at the beginning and the end of our vacation. We had lobster dinner with potato salad and coleslaw. Absolutely delicious.
Dinner concluded with strawberry rhubarb pie.. absolutely best pastry crust ever!!!
Our server (tall woman with short blonde hair and glasses) is the best!

Amazing diner style food and great service. The seafood platter for one is definitely enough for two (and totally worth the $). Don't forget to order a slice of pie! Parking lot will be full right at noon and 5-6.

The finest eats on the Northumberland. Warm and friendly service, delicious fried food and sandwiches, and stacked high desserts (try the blueberry Boston cream pie!) Pictured is the messy but fresh and perfect strawberry shortcake served on Canada.

The place was packed but people were moving along and finishing quickly. The servers were obviously swamped but once we were seated, we had our drinks quickly and soon put in our food orders. Lightly breaded whole bodied clams and fried scallops were delicious as was the lemon meringue pie. Our server, Nicki handled the many tables with speed and grace. A wonderful meal!

I’ve been going to the sandpiper since I was a kid and love it so much. It’s a must visit every time I fly back to Nova Scotia. The food is always yummy, the milkshakes are always a favorite as well! The staff is friendly and polite. It’s a very cozy environment with beautiful artwork on the walls and a view of the water from the nice big windows. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants an authentic Nova Scotian experience!

Great meals, fair price staff friendly but not overbearing. Service is efficient. The view is excellent. Lunch and dinner menu extensive enough to please any palette. The drive out from just about anywhere is awesome.

Delicious seafood and home-style meals. The fried clams are some of the best we’ve tasted and the fish & chips were excellent. The hot turkey sandwich is also delicious! Friendly and welcoming staff. A great place to stop for lunch while travelling along the beautiful Sunrise Trail!

Excellent food, family resto, great friendly staff, very busy at dinner time. One of the only places that offered pan fried scallops instead of breaded 🤗🤗. Their deserts are to die for 🤤🤤

Oh my, where to start. I had the lobster with cheesey sauce on toast. Wow. So tasty. The Boston cream pie for dessert with strawberries. The food was scrumptious. The waitresses were all lovely and very helpful. Not a bad thing to say about this experience except, I'll be back as soon as possible.

Delicious! Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious and prepared like my mother used to cook when I was a child. It’s an excellent example of maritime cuisine. Don’t miss the seafood chowder and be sure to finish your meal with a piece of their delicious homemade pie (coconut cream is my favourite) You just can’t go wrong! Bonus- the staff is delightful!

Excellent meal. Deep fried clams were tender and the coating was light and crispy, like tempura. Very tasty. Pan fried scallops sautéed to perfection, tender and delicious. Accompanying French fries were cooked to a golden brown, crispy and flavourful. Sides coleslaw and fresh homemade biscuits. Good sized portions. Worth the stop. We will be back for more delicious food.

they boast about their battered fish and they do not disappoint! As a born and bred maritimer, these are now my favourite fish and chips. It was so yummy, they didn't need lemon or tartar sauce.

Always love the Sandpiper, been eating here for well over a decade and it's always so good! Today was our first visit since last fall, and had another great experience despite covid-19. The Sandpiper is currently take out only, but has a lot of outdoor seating set up for guests. We were able to eat on the deck, looking at the water view - staff brought our meal to us, and checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We noticed that the fries have changed, and we loved them! We will be back soon :)
