IL FORNELLO - Bayview Village

I visited this place with a friend. There is a separate lunch menu and it includes a salad and one dish. Dishes include pizza, pasta, and risotto. The menu is more diverse than expected, giving you a wider range of choices. The pizza was freshly baked, so it was warm, and the dough was very thin, which I liked. And the risotto was so delicious. It had a subtle truffle scent and was moist, making it perfect to eat. I will go again to try other menus. And the staff who attended my table was friendly and the food was served quickly. It was a bit disappointing that the table was small.

Been visiting Bayview Village many years now, first time eating at IL FORNELLO. The host and server were very nice. We request if we can sit at certain area, the host rearrange the table just for us. And the server have a great smile on his face. Also we order three pasta everyone was happy. Will definitely go again!

Very nice place to go for fine dining meal and Italian cuisine. Food are delicious (nice risotto and pasta, deserts are also pretty) and services are nice.

One recommended improvement is that might be better if each table could have a brighter lamp, or hanging light, or even a candle to make the atmosphere better in the evening, since it was a little too dark in the evening when sitting on some tables beside the wall.

Will definitely come again in the future.

Great delivery dinner this week from Il Fornello. Started with a Caesar salad, which was very fresh with a nice dressing and strips of crispy bacon to crumble on top. Then had linguini pollo e pesto, which my wife rated 10/10, and tagliatelle carbonara which I rate a 9/10. Both were excellent - great flavour and portion size. The tagliatelle had tons on meat and could easily have been called a Meat Lovers tagliatelle!! Would definitely recommend these dishes.

Great Italian restaurant inside the mall. The pasta was delicious, and the cakes seemed like they were made fresh. I would highly suggest the Fettuccini Alfredo, and add chicken on top!

I would recommend booking a reservation in advance, depending on what time you go, or be prepared to wait 30 minutes.

Outstanding experience! This restaurant is a fantastic choice for a fine dining experience. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff add to the overall charm, and the food is delicious too!

I went to il fornello for lunch. And I ordered mushroom risotto and potatoe leek soup. It was so good very light and I don’t feel like a bombshell. I will definitely come here again!

My first time at this restaurant and the pasta was amazing! We also ordered the beef stew which was quite good and the calamari was super crispy.

Tried lunch prix menu and it was good with a reasonable price of $23.5 (appetizer and main) + dessert $6.5

1) Avocado cashew caesar was decent

2) Penne alla norma - lovely with eggplant and tomato 🍅 and veggies

3) Orange polenta cake was excellent

Arrived in a party of 7 and was pleasantly surprised by how good the service and food was! Definitely recommended for a decent price meal.

Currently, Il Fornello has a dinner prix fixe for $35pp (app, main and dessert). Perfect selection of foods and very tasty. Service was great. Will definitely go back to try something different.

Went there for lunch today while visiting Bayview Village. Food was excellent. Server was nice. Lunch was $23.95 + tax at the lunch menu. There were a lot of items to choose from. 2 adults (ladies) and a kid, we ordered 2 sets of lunch.

Super lovely wait staff, very friendly and helpful. We got two mains to share which were absolutely delicious. The waiter knew we were sharing and had the pizza split on to separate plates for us. Lots of yummy choices on the menu. Restaurant was easy to locate in the mall. They also have a good basic brunch cocktail menu which is awesome.

I have always lived next to bayview village, and IL FORNELLO stays on top. My family, friends and I had the best experience here. The service was exceptional, they were very attentive to our needs and made our dining experience one to remember. There menu has so many delicious choices to choose from, including vegan and gluten-free options! Which most food places don’t have! I highly recommend IL FORNELLO for anyone looking for a delightful combination of excellent service and delectable cuisine!

The food was good, well-portioned and tasty. It also came out faster than we anticipated since the restaurant was so busy. The staff were friendly and attentive too.

Finally a great Italian place in North York!! Ambiance was nice considering it’s in a mall and it was super busy, which is a good sign. Service was quick and our waitress was very nice and efficient. We got the arancini balls - they were amazing. I got the Pizza Fichi, which was unreal. The combination of flavour with the prosciutto and figs was amazing - would highly recommend. My significant other got the salmon pizza, which was really tasty but would recommend as a shareable plate as the salmon is a lot. Drink and food prices were reasonable. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant, I can’t wait to go back!

I was there on Thursday night (Jan 25th, 2024) and I had a great experience. Evgeni was my server for the night and did an awesome job! I ordered a 20oz Peroni along with the LINGUINI DI MARE dish and a double espresso after my meal. The seafood was very fresh! I also wanted to shoutout Emon who continued to check up on me throughout the night, always asking if everything was good and if I needed anything else. Finally a BIG shoutout goes out to the bartender Danielle for making my drinks promptly and freshly cracking ground black pepper on my main dish! Will definitely be back :)

Love this restaurant because of its cozy feel. With its lovely decor and low volume music, it's a nice calm environment - where you are able to talk to your lunch or dinner companions. Service was excellent, as was the food.

I have been here few times, and all my experiences are fabulous. The food is tasty, and their service is excellent and quick.
The pesto pasta that I got this time was super delicious, never had such a pasta before!

I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at this Italian restaurant! The ambiance was charming, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was simply exquisite. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavours, and the pasta was a true highlight. I can't wait to return and indulge in another delightful meal. A definite 5/5 stars!
