Rapido Trains

Bought the Trillium Railways RS18 DCC and sound locomotive, a beautiful model but within a short time the locomotive would stutter and stall and became virtually unusable. Rarely ran the unit because of this. Upon close inspection, found excessive grease in the gearboxes was contaminating the electrical pickup points on the end of each axle inboard and outboard of the wheel. Meticulously cleaned the pickup points with electronic contact cleaner on a paper towel, cleaned up the excess oozing lubricant and the locomotive now operates very nicely and I have regained my high regard for this product. A little too much gearlube can sure ruin the operation of these swiss watch mechanisms. Would surely buy another Rapido product in the future. Watch for that creeping gear lube tho!

I've bought 2 n-scale locomotives from Rapido. These are beautiful, well-made products. Had a teeny problem with the last one. They were very helpful, I sent it in, they fixed it in a timely manner, and threw in a free gift. Always impressed, great company!

I was given the Tempo set a year ago. I had engine issues. They replaced the motor and repaired the cosmetic issues (courtesy of grandchildren knocking the engine off the track and on to the floor, accidentally) and mailed it back. They could not have been better. The customer service is absolutely marvellous. Any future purchases will be Rapido products. Thank you for such wonderful service and products.

Rapido is a young, enthusiastic company that cares about model railroading. I have bought several of their products (Super Continental HO passenger cars, LRC) and can attest to the level of detail and workmanship that is first class all the way. I had a problem with one car, and they fixed it right away ... and with a smile.

Excellent selection and quality of HO Scale locomotives and cars for Canada and US. Now if they can do more modern equipment in N Scale...
