This was a nice spot for a lunch. The Maple Bacon Poutine was killer and the Buffalo burger was tasty too. It's the first I've ever had, so take that with a grain of salt, but I would order it again. Also had a bowl of Chowder with some locally sourced fish, which was also top notch.

The service was fast and friendly.. everyone was very attentive. Don't hesitate to stop by here if you are looking for a place to grab a meal.

This place is so good that we were in Yellowknife for four nights, and we ate here 3 nights. The service is incredible, and the staff and the owner are extremely friendly and helpful. The donair poutine and the prime rib are a must when visiting this place. The fries are some of the best I ever had. If you are visiting Yellowknife, make sure to come here, and if you don't know what to order, just ask for recommendations from the owner. Thank you for the great meals and amazing conversations.

Just had one of the best meals in a long time. Went with the Great Slave Pickerel and it was absolutely delicious. My wife got the Buffalo Rib Eye and it was also fantastic. Definitely recommended. Definitely coming back! Complements to the chef 👏

My husband and I went for our anniversary dinner and everything from the service, food to the atmosphere was amazing. The owner made us feel special and at home. We pre ordered the tomahawk a day in advance and it was absolutely yum. It comes with 2 side dish options and we did the twice baked potato and garlic mashed potato. We were also gifted with complimentary early grey crème brûlée and my oh my it was delish.

Loved the music, 70s 80s! First time eating classic Poutine. Very good. About 6 different kinds to choose from.

Very genuinely, from the moment we walked in the building we felt like we were at home. The environment is not only welcoming but the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have anything you need (before you even know you need it). The owner Ed is present and working with the servers which is extremely admirable. He sets a high standard of excellence for both the way servers are to treat the customers and the taking care of those in the restaurant. The food is very good everything was received as ordered and the presentation extremely appetizing. My friend and I will definitely be coming back and will recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a tasty meal and a sense of community. While our time here in Yellowknife was short the positive influence Ed had on both our lives and trip contributed greatly to our fond memories we leaked the YK with. (plus he makes a great drink!)

Absolutely amazing bistro situated at the heart of Downtown Yellowknife. The service and staff is absolutely incredible. They're extremely supportive warm and friendly. The collection of board games pool table, a play station and a giant screen with the live games creates a mesmerizing vibe in the bistro. The music is a cherry on cake. The ambiance and atmosphere gets full marks, so is the food and drinks. I loved them. They have several special offers of which we availed the wings on Wednesdays is 50% off. The daily cocktail is also amazing. We also had the Teriyaki Chicken Dinner. And shall highly recommend that. Overall a must visit Bistro if you are at Yellowknife downtown with friends or family

There are no words for this hidden gem. Food is amazing, big portions, fair prices, customer service is stellar, and the best part is the owner Edward. His sense of humor, his passion for his establishment and the customer care is nothing like we have ever experienced before. Wish there was a 10+ star review. Thank you Mr. But!

I cannot recommend this place enough! My partner and I were only in Yellowknife for 4 days and we chose to go to Coyotes for dinner, we were so impressed we just HAD to go back.

Everything was amazing, from the ambience of the restaurant to the food. Don’t even get me started on the service, the staff are incredible. So attentive and so friendly!

We were served by Christy/Christine (forgive me if that’s spelled incorrectly!) and she was just divine. We came from Australia and were so impressed with the beautiful quality of the food and just felt like we were in such a kind and warm environment.

I cannot thank the staff enough for giving us such a great experience. I cannot wait to come back 💜 (did not get a pic of our first meal as we were starving and too keen to eat) but the first night I had the club sandwich and WOW, just delicious. My partner got the northern fish fry — catch of the day — and was raving about how fresh it was (and delicious)

I have to add — if you love poutine, don’t even bother trying it anywhere else. They have a broad selection and it surpassed all the poutineries across the country — and we we travelled all across Canada!

Had an overnight in Yellowknife en route to Lac La Martre fishing. Coyote's looked like a great option for dinner and it didn't disappoint! My son and I agreed the slab of ribs we each had were among the tastiest we've ever had. Corn on the cob and fresh asparagus and zucchini on the side, along with fries. Owner and staff were welcoming and friendly. Drinks went down easy too. For sure a top choice highly recommended.

Don't miss the Northern Fish Fry if you like your fish. They informed it's fresh catch they source locally, served with fries and salad. The fish did taste good and was cooked beautifully. The sauces also had a distinct touch. The guy who served us was super fun. The place also serves liquor, has a pool table and games for kids. Great dining experience ❤

We discovered this gem of a restaurant after several days of lackluster, overpriced food in Yellowknife. The lunch special was beyond delicious - I had the taco fried bread, which was my first experience with fried bread. The staff were soooo sweet and welcoming - I can’t say enough how much I loved this place. My only disappointment is that we found this place on the last day we were visiting - I would’ve come here every day!
